Recognizing Teamwork, Honoring An Employee: Midwest Industries Announces Jon Jacobson Teamwork Award Winners Beloved Midwest Industries team member, Jon Jacobson, or “Big Jon”, unexpectedly passed in 2021, leaving behind a legacy of leadership. To honor his commitment to the team and community, Midwest Industries presented the Jon Jacobson Teamwork Award to twelve individuals who go above and beyond to help others, embodying the values of excellence set before them by Jacobson. The award is focused on recognizing those in Midwest’s production and production support teams. Department teams include Drill, ShoreStation, Fabrication, Welding, Paint, Assembly, and more. Each department nominated a representative who best characterizes the traits of Jon; ● Shows concern and helps others both inside and outside their department ● Puts others before self ● Is flexible to accommodate the needs of others ● Makes improvements that benefit others ● Passes on quality work ● Solves problems that make conditions better for others ● Consistently communicates in a positive way ● Makes Midwest a better place to work for all Twelve recipients of this award in Midwest Industries’ departments received $250 in recognition for their outstanding work. One of the twelve winners was randomly drawn to receive $1,000. Midwest Industries strives to put people first and values trust, inclusion, diversity, experience, and an innovative spirit. One of the biggest driving forces behind the company’s ability to produce innovative products—such as ShoreStation, ShoreLand’r, and Byron Select—is the company culture that has been established at Midwest Industries.
