When I'm conducting hotel site inspections, I'm doing two things 👇🏻 Seeing the property physically to get a sense of which clients it will be right for & establishing and developing relationships with the sales team. So what are the things I'm looking for? 🔹 What's the aesthetic? Who will vibe with this property? Does it feel traditional and conservative or is it on the cold side of modern design? Is it a historic or traditional building, but the interiors are fresh and contemporary and the staff are relaxed and friendly, bringing the stuffiness factor down? 🔹 Are there connecting room options for families? If so, which categories connect? 🔹 What is the food & beverage scene like? Are their outlets popular with locals (gives more of a local feel)? Are there both formal and more casual options? Is there anything very under-the-radar or exclusive, where knowing the sales team can help us get the clients in? (I.e., The Connaught Bar, the number one cocktail bar in the world, doesn't take reservations...except for us.) 🔹 What’s interesting about the hotel? What are the stories I can tell clients when explaining my choices to them? What makes this hotel different than others? A thorough vetting process allows me to make sure I'm matching my clients with the perfect accommodation for THEM. That's where the personalization really comes into play. Questions about my process? Feel free to send me a message! - Kate

. There is a hotel in Murree which has 4 floors and each floor has 5 rooms in a sequence. The first two floor rooms (basement and ground floor) contain elite rooms (business class rooms) that cost 10,000 RS per day. The upper two floor rooms are economy class rooms (budget friendly) that costs 6000 Rs per day. Your task is to design a program that is menu driven and ask the user whether he wants to: • Book a room. • Show available rooms. • Exit the program If the user wants to book a room, then ask the user to enter the floor and room number that he wants to book and also the total number of days for which he wants to book the room. The program then books the room if it is not already occupied and displays the message “Floor: n, Room m, successfully booked”. Your total cost for X days is Y Rupees. If the room is already booked then the program should display a message accordingly and asks the user to book another room. User can also see which rooms are booked and which are not. Booked rooms are represented using a * and available rooms are shown using – symbol. The program should repeatedly ask the user to select from an option until the user presses 3 to exit the program. Your program must be user friendly and you must validate all the inputs. Note: In your program the floors and the rooms are basically a 2D array so you have to perform operations on this 2D array. Feature requests for hotels that can be addressed with modern tech in 2024: 1) If you push the wrong elevator button, you should be able to push it again to turn it back off so you don't waste time going to the wrong floor 2) Be able to watch TV without the screen on -- just sound only 3) The rooms should be more customizable -- do you want hardwood floors or carpet? What color paint? Stain glass windows? This would make the maintenance work more interesting too. 4) A fully stocked fridge that you can take things from and the charges are automatically added to your room bill. And this should apply to anything in the room (take the art, take the lamps, alarm clocks, etc). Marriott Hotels Hilton Hotels & Resorts Best Western Hotels & Resorts
