The need for transparency in cybersecurity is becoming ever more obvious.
The vendors that we work with in the 360° Assessment have an open and proactive approach to independent 3rd party testing.
Yes, they want a certification to rubber-stamp the efficacy of their product, but they also welcome us finding gaps in their protection or missed threats, as the detailed real-time feedback we provide allows them to rapidly optimise their products against prevalent threats and continually improve protection for their clients.
In the past, however, we have encountered some Vendors that would rather litigate than have their product independently tested. Makes you wonder why.
And yes, we still hear talk of 'pay-to-play' in the testing industry and this can only be addressed with greater transparency, so we support AMTSO and their drive for transparency and fairness and we welcome discussion and debate on this topic.
