Higher temperatures = more sweating and an increased risk of electrolyte imbalance. Pay attention to any signs your body is in distress.   To maintain or get back in balance: Stay hydrated (not just with water) Eat electrolyte-rich foods Monitor levels with testing Consult your doctor if needed If you're traveling, spending more time outside, or enduring warmer weather this summer, take control of your health. Test electrolytes a minimum of twice a year and whenever needed through Function Health.

I wonder what you doctor think of the HTMA test for electrolyte imbalances. I know it is a very affordable test, but quite difficult to interpret and not almost reliable..that being said, we can find out so many things from it and from the imbalances and ratios. I have never heard you talk about HTMA before even when you spoke about mercury poisoning. I understand your poisoning was acute, but what about HTMA for the detection of heavy metals that are in yje tissues , bones etc even if not in our blood?

Important to pay attention to this, especially in weather over 90 all summer long! This is my reality unfortunately. I’m ready for a change😊

What are the bio markers we are testing specifically? - would be helpful so I can ask to have them included in my annual tests. I'm also curious about how electrolyte imbalance increases (or not) during the stages of menopause or ageing - is there any related research on these areas?

It is scary indeed! Also worth mentioning that in people with gut disorders (such as IBS), the heat can exacerbate symptoms. Staying hydrated and maintaining electrolyte balance is even more crucial for them!

Amen, this is imperative in S Florida summertime especially! I drink 1/2 an LMNT in water each morning upon rising to help reduce further dehydration during the day.
