A groundbreaking study has found heavy metals in tampons—even the organic kind. The study didn’t name tampon brands or test for absorption, leaving potential health risks unknown. You deserve to know what’s in your body and what heavy metals you’ve been exposed to. You don’t need to wait for companies to disclose this information. And you don’t have to deal with surprise bills just to get the testing you need. Conventional healthcare reacts to symptoms but real health is cultivated through awareness. It’s why Function Health members test for common heavy metals, like lead and mercury every year and have the option to add on a test for arsenic and aluminum as needed. This isn’t about fear or blame, it’s about advocating for your health and empowering you with insights to care for your body long-term.

How do you test for heavy metals? Do you use blood or hair samples?

How much better are sanitary pads versus this? Obviously it would be great if corporations focused on producing healthier products but given what is out there, can we say that sanitary pads are less toxic than tampons?

A whopping 14 different brands of tampons from USA and the UK were tested and found to have these heavy metal toxicity! We need to now guard another orifice from these toxic products. Please be aware that even contraceptives can have toxic chemicals that can disrupt vaginal microbiome, increase risk of bleeding and infection (in the case of IUDs).

Okay, this might a little *crude here, but since we are on the subject, how and why is sticking these up you a norm? I get that it might be cleaner for convenience sake, but they actually are not and are very intrusive!

There are definitely toxins in everything we consume and absorb and it wreaks havoc on our bodies in ways we can't imagine. Having access to comprehensive testing is so important. I've wished for something like Function Health for decades. Grateful it's finally available. Thank you!

Truer words have never been spoken "Conventional healthcare reacts to symptoms but real health is cultivated through awareness.".

Is it coming from the cotton used? And the soil it’s grown in? Taking charcoal caps and milk thistle every so often help clean these out of your system. Always take a charcoal capsule after getting any vaccine to clear out the toxin used.
