Kamala Harris is reshaping the 2024 election, energizing a new wave of voters and amplifying the voice of women across the nation. With her in the race, the electorate is likely to be younger, more female and more supportive of abortion rights than it would have been with President Biden as the Democratic nominee, polls have found. Not only do women vote for Democrats more than do men, they register to vote and cast their votes in greater proportions. And because women make up the majority of the population, the voting booth is one place where they can wield more power than men. Voting. If you want your views heard and your voice acknowledged. Go vote. Women, minorities and everyone should pay attention to politician proposals or they will end up losing valuable freedoms. As a woman, I don't believe in abortion but I do believe women have the right to make their own decisions regarding their body not the government - Roe vs Wade should be reinstated and women giving their rights as equals. Men don't have to care a child and in a lot of cases - they don't want to be bothered. They don't even support their children or help care for them in many cases. Sexual preferences are a person choice for some, for others they feel like objects in a political debate. Tell our elected official to step up or step down. We want them to give us voice not remove freedoms we've already earned. GO VOTE.

In one of my previous posts, I discussed the split within the Republican Party between socially conservative individuals and MAGA extremists. This video examines the split between married couples and single childfree individuals where about 52% of married women are more likely to vote Republican while single, unmarried, and divorced women are shaping to become a political force within the Democratic Party. In this video, it features a clip of Tucker Carlson sharing JD Vance’s stance on single women where he suggests that single women despise marriage and conservative values. This kind of rhetoric within mainstream media is not only inaccurate, but it serves to further contribute to the polarization that already exists in this country. The counter-argument shared in this video contends that single childfree individuals tend to be more community-oriented and more concerned with the needs of the many versus the needs of themselves and their own families exclusively which many studies also suggest and support. This explains the reasoning behind the Republican Party’s agenda to limit and restrict abortion and access to abortion including contraception while also putting an end to no fault divorce making it harder to leave an abusive marriage or escape domestic violence.

Women's RIGHTS to Vote in the USA. If you look up right now on GOOGLE, how many women in the US have the right to VOTE. All you get is information on women's voting suffrage. Not even the Internet can give you the cold hard facts with out doing a deeper dive. So when I hear, women yelling and screaming about ABORTION BANS, I always ask one question? Where is the WOMEN? Where is the Wives, Daughters, Nieces, Grand Daughters? Where are they? When we hear the word ABORTION we think its chopping up a baby in its mothers body while it's alive. We do not account for the Mother who has miscarried and is HEMORRHAGED on the table, the girl that was gang raped and wants a morning after pill, or wearing contraceptives all together. If you legally think the morning after pill, if stopping someone from getting pregnant than so is a condom, so why is Trojan and all the latex companies allowed to sell contraceptives? The lunacy has to stop. MOST IMPORTANTLY WHEN DID A MEDICAL OPERATION BEHIND CLOSED DOORS BETWEEN A DOCTOR AND THEIR PATIENT PROTECTED UNDER HIPPA BECOME A MATTER OF PUBLIC DISCUSSION??? #abortion #women #votingrights #vote #hippa #contraceptives #trojan #republicans #democracy

Friends, Here is my latest effort to add historical perspective - and a bit of feminist passion - to the current #reproductiverights #reproductivejustice landscape, as we approach the 51st anniversary of #RoevWade, the 18-month mark for #DobbsvJackson, and the start of a momentous year with 2 major #scotus cases, perhaps as many as 12 state-wide referenda, and, oh right, a presidential election. #biden #kamalaharris https://lnkd.in/dd6FXw4P

In the recent storm of the politics over reproductive rights, former President Trump's latest salvo—a draconian proposal for a nationwide 16-week abortion ban—has ignited a raging inferno. This audacious move not only challenges our fundamental freedoms but also throws down the gauntlet for the soul of our nation. As the battle lines are drawn and the air crackles with urgency, the upcoming elections morph from mere political contests into pivotal crusades for our very rights and liberties. The rallying cry for unity and action echoes louder than ever: Re-elect Joe Biden, secure Senate dominance, and seize control of the House. It's a clarion call to arms, to band together in an indomitable front, defending our rights against encroachments and sculpting the destiny we envision. Now is the moment to rise, mobilize, and forge ahead with unyielding resolve. #ReproductiveRights #Election2024 #ProtectOurFreedom

What will be a key issue for many voters in the 2024 elections? Reproductive freedom. Since 2022, there have been some Black women who have been key to recent victories in the states to protect reproductive freedom and I had the privilege of speaking to them. Below in my first piece (for Teen Vogue!) are some of their thoughts and lessons to guide the work ahead. #elections2024 #reproductivejustice #womeninpolitics

Of the 116 justices, 110 (94.8 percent) have been men. All Supreme Court justices were males until 1981; only 6 women have held court positions deciding matters upon majority of public which are women. Mostly made up of men 110/116= 94.8% decisions chosen by men. 5.2% decisions influenced by women whom are 51% of population. A representation of half population decision with less than a 6% voice being represented upon highest court in our fragile nation of bigots whom want to reverse women’s rights. Women fought for right to vote. If court can revoke a woman’s right to an abortion they certainly can revoke a woman’s right to vote. Given half a chance expect the unexpected.

Reverse coat-tails is what will help Biden defeat Trump. Voters are uninspired by their choices for president, but exciting Democrats running for state-level offices (plus referenda on abortion rights) in Arizona, Nevada & elsewhere can help us win. I first believed in reverse coat-tails in 2017, when Democrats won the Virginia governor's race despite a very unexciting candidate. But those same voters came out to support people like Danica Roem - the first transgender state legislator in U.S. history. The top of the ticket gets the most media attention, but I believe the bottom of the ticket will drive the most votes. https://lnkd.in/gRPmh-DX
