Hi I'm Amanda, I'm AP8 full access. My pronouns are she her and I've been working here for about 5 years now. Back when I was working in Philadelphia, I was working for a small nonprofit serving the Hispanic community and that really led me down the path to feel passionate about providing case management services to adults or other clients that were underrepresented or marginalized in their communities. So what drew me to Full Access in particular was their client centered language in the application and during the interview process. It really felt like they cared a lot about the clients and that all the work that we did centered around them. So that's what drew me over to them. And I still think that that's true today. A personal agent, or PA as we like to call it in the field, is a person who provides case management services to adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Part of our job is helping clients to achieve their life goals by connecting them with community resources and state funded services so they can live the life that they choose to live. This is a difficult one to answer because the life of a PA or the typical day of a PA is never really typical. There's an even flow to the work that we do. For example, one day we might be doing paperwork or checking in with the client by calling them and the very next day we might be going out into the field or going to a clients home or calling different agencies to address an emergency that's come up in the clients life. I would say that what makes this job interesting and fulfilling is that an inflow in our workplace and knowing that. We are there for our clients to handle any situation that might arise so that they can live the life that they choose to live and be able to handle emergencies as they come up. The thing that I love most about Full Access is the feeling of teamwork and camaraderie that working in this office provides. Full Access is a really good job of fostering an open and positive work environment for its employees. And of course, the clients are the center of everything we do, and Full Access keeps that in mind and does everything in its power to make sure that we're providing the best supports to our clients while also managing a good and balanced workload.
