Just because you are a freelancer, doesn't mean you are not a BUSINESS OWNER. Good reminder for all Creative freelancers/Small Business Owners. ==My summary of the article. == 🖼Creative work deserves pay: It takes time and expertise, just like any other job. 🧠Clients don't see the effort: The creative process often involves unseen effort, unlike manual labor. 📇Expertise has value: Clients pay for your knowledge and skill, not just the tools you use. Just because they have photoshop doesn't mean they know how to use it. 👎🏻"Exposure" is a myth: Free work rarely leads to paying clients, and can cheapen your brand. 😔Free work devalues you: Working for free can make you question your own worth as a creative. 📘Build a portfolio yourself: Use your free time to create work you love for your portfolio. 🤝Collaborate strategically: Donate your time to projects you're passionate about, not for exposure. 👭Mutually beneficial partnerships: Collaborate with others to gain experience or reach new audiences. Note* New freelancers can consider free work: If it helps you gain experience and build a network, but be mindful. Take on work that aligns with where you want your career to talk you. Some of my Secret Ways to Stabilize My Freelance Business. Feel Free to Steal It. As a Web Designer, you know that it's not going to be repetitive work until you know the power of your offer. 1. MY OFFER CONSISTS OF THESE THINGS: --> Managing the Website after the completion of the project. I like to charge for it on a monthly basis and packages. --> Scaling the website more, if the client gets results. Once you start getting results, The Client will happily pay for scaling. 2. Only your offer can't save you, you have to also COLLABORATE and build a network with other service providers. Have started this thing recently. --> I like to Collaborate with Copywriters, Growth Marketers, Performance Marketers, and agencies. 3. LEARN other things and include them in your offer like --> Systems --> Automation --> Integrations --> Building Complex Websites. The problem of stabilized income is 85% Solved if you know how to do these because clients don't have to pay big as$ amounts to agencies, as they have a Freelancer to do all that. Now this results in referrals because many designers don't know about it. 4. CHOOSE GOOD CLIENTS Don't work with any Client you meet on a sales call and Remove the fear that you will not get your next client. Be very selective and Selfish before choosing. PS- What's your Way?

🌟 Standing Out in a Crowded Freelance Market 🌟 Reflecting on an insightful conversation I had with Finder about how to stand out from the competition as a freelancer, especially when first starting out. Here are 3 key takeaways that I still stand by: 1. Put Yourself in the Buyer's Shoes: What would they search for? What would catch their attention? What would make them feel comfortable enough to hire someone? 2. Always overdeliver: Go the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction. If they paid for 2 logo concepts, give them 3. They just might tell their network about it! 3. Patience: Do good work, and give the algorithm some time to recognise that. Once it does, the snowball effect will take care of the rest. Are you selling what clients really want? Many freelancers make this common mistake... (I used to do it in my early phase of freelancing!) they focus on their services instead of the results clients desire. Think about it: Writers don't just sell words, ↳ they sell clear communication Web designers don't just sell websites, ↳ they sell online presence Virtual assistants don't just sell tasks, ↳ they sell peace of mind Graphic designers don't just sell images, ↳ they sell visual impact Social media managers don't just sell posts, ↳ they sell engagement Remember: Clients care more about outcomes than the specific tools you use. So, ask yourself: What problem do you solve? What benefit do you provide? When you understand and sell the end result, you'll connect better with potential clients.
