Simultaneous interpretation by Artificial Intelligence is now commonplace. So what about machines and humans? We have researched and developed devices that use ultrasound for joining and have provided them to industry. And finally, we can now understand the noise that machines whisper to us. Yes, we can judge the quality of a joint by the sound it radiates during joining. Our experimental equipment determines the quality of the joining immediately after the process is finished. Ultrasonic joining takes less than a second, but it is enough time to make a decision of okay or no good. We will soon install a demo-system in my laboratory. Meet the Machines Can See 2024 Speaker's Latest Groundbreaking Projects Dr. Pascal Fua, a Professor at EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) and head of the Computer Vision Lab, has been pushing the boundaries of ML and CV with three exciting new projects. 1.
