Making good decisions: Building trust in a world of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing We are now developing a new stream of research on AI and Emerging Technologies. Unsurprisingly the topic of AI topped all our polls and engagement with the profession as THE research topic to take forwards over the next eighteen months. We published this report in the summer of last year and then focused much of our effort on our Future of Finance 2.0 global research project. So whilst that research is being published and disseminated we are able to build on that project and its technology elements and build outwards from this "Making Good Decisions" report to new and exciting resources to empower the profession with new AI research resources. SIAM recently laid out a vision of computational science in the U.S. Unsurprisingly, it finds that computational science is essential to maintain U.S. security and economic competitiveness, and equally unsurprisingly, it calls for investments.
