TIP OF THE DAY If you are currently looking for a new role, and even more so if you have unfortunately found yourself in a lay off scenario, there are still companies hiring 100%. Best case, you want to be picked up by a recruiter or internal talent acquisition specialist, as you cut right through those 300 applications that you see in response to an advert. So, one of the things I would HIGHLY recommend is making sure that your Linkedin profile has key words and a description of what you have been doing. I am currently hiring for numerous US software engineers and if I can't get a good steer on what someone has been working on, or their tech stack (as all there is to see is a job title) I sadly move on and find the next one. I could be missing out on some amazing talent, but I also can't reach out to everyone to ask them. So, your Linkedin profile should be a replica of your CV/resume (of course appreciate some info will be confidential) but this will massively increase your chances of being approached about a role...... and more importantly one that looks like a good fit!

Earlier I was talking to a prospect and found out that they try to find candidates by just creating a LinkedIn post while they don't really have a wide presence built... And hiring takes them 6 months of delay on average. In my understanding, if you need to find a developer then you need to find a developer, no unstable methods. Here come some experienced teams ready to get you the needed skills. Although I know that for some organizations it doesn't work. Some have trouble with communication or overheads, others just meet the wrong teams that don't fit... At this point, I think it's still worth considering as most of them will give you a trial period and actively fulfill the opening within a couple of weeks.
