Some good advice here

Green: the official color of spring. 🌿   Mother Nature’s indicator that spring has sprung (unless you live somewhere like Rochester, NY where I used to – in that case, you’ve got about 6-8 weeks to go).   As we bask in the additional hours of sunlight, and our yards and flowerbeds remind us that warmer temperatures are headed our way, spring can feel like giant exhale we’ve all been waiting to take.   By now, you might know that when I talk about impact, I encourage my clients to take inspiration from what’s happening around them.   📣 Donor communicators, now’s your chance: take a look outside!   As spring ushers in feelings of renewal and re invigoration, there has never been a better time to revitalize your CONTENT!   If you’re putting in the work to create inspired messages that more your audiences to act, you’re well on your way.   But, if you’re using that content once and archiving it as a job well done, you’re leaving opportunity on the table!   Human stories are complex, layered, and contain experience that have the power to influence different audiences, on different mediums, in different ways!   Want to spring into action? How much posting is TOO MUCH? ⤵️ Here’s my thoughts ⤵️ While it is TRUE that the more you post, the more you grow, If you post more and get BURNT OUT, that won’t work! Instead, Focus on SUSTAINABILITY! 🔑🔑🔑 BUT if you can sustain MORE, go for it! As long as your posts are valuable or entertaining, your audience won’t feel overwhelmed. But why not? ⤵️ • The algorithm will only show them the posts they WANT to see - If you post 3 times, most people won’t see more than 1! • Similar to binge-watching a show, if it’s good, it won’t be “annoying”! Plus, If you do notice a large amount of unfollows, you can alway dial the frequency back down!

It's often shared, but is it always understood? We're seeing and hearing so many businesses talk about impact, specifically around their environmental and social responsibilities. Which is indeed something worth celebrating! Your impact report goes a long way towards evidencing the incredible work you've done, but have you ever wondered how effectively it's bringing the real, human results of your impact to life? After all, impact is ultimately about people. And the more people understand the better able they are to appreciate the part they play in your impact. The more your people are involved the bigger and better your impact becomes; it’s a self-perpetuating loop that organically leads you to achieve more. The new year often brings hope for positive change. As we enter 2024, my sincere wish is that we reconnect with nature and each other. January brought record-high temperatures, signaling the pressing threat of climate change. Our planet is sending us a message - we must act now.  Spending time outdoors, away from the bustle of everyday life, can help us reflect and gain perspective. Appreciating the natural world inspires us to protect it. Understanding the fragility of ecosystems motivates us to live more sustainably. Reconnecting with nature also nourishes our mental health and creativity. Time outdoors often brings clarity, new ideas, and motivation. We have the power to create the change we wish to see. But first, we must listen to what nature is telling us. My hope for 2024 is that we heed nature's call - and in doing so, rediscover our shared humanity. This challenging moment in history demands that we come together, listen to science, and take action. The solution starts with each of us. Let's make it a goal to spend more time outdoors this year. A small act that, when multiplied by many, can lead to great change.
