𝗕𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆! Watching the interview with Laura Kenny on the news this morning, really struck a chord with me. No, I'm definitely not Olympian athlete standard or an avid cyclist 😜. It was the way she described how she knew her time had come to step away from the competitive race track. What a big, bold and brave decision to make! And yet, listening to Laura... "I knew the minute I was getting those feelings. Once I said, 'I don't think I want to ride a bike any more', I started to feel relief." "I was getting these hesitant feelings." "Going on to win another gold medal, as much as I would love to do that, it wasn't giving me the energy I wanted any more, it just wasn't." Our mind and body are all part of one system and yet, so very often we treat them as 2 separates (myself included!). I know that I am very good at managing my state (as that's what I have learned to do) and that I can and have ignored the associated feelings which are there to tell me something...but at a cost...and to me! Hearing Laura talk about recognising her feelings and articulating them, resonated with the work that I do on myself and with my clients. Too often we know deep down that something is no longer working for us and, often, it takes us some time to kick into action (whatever that may be). Are you shortchanging yourself somewhere in your life? So today, have a check in - let's be more like Dame Laura Kenny! What's your internal radar system telling you...even if it's something you, or those around you, may not want to hear? 🤔 Good luck Laura with your next chapter - what a wealth of resources and experiences you'll be taking with you. #selfawareness #selfempowerment #nlpcoaching

What would you say to your younger self? One of my favorite moments watching the Olympics this week was seeing a segment where members of the US Team were each presented with an image of themselves in their youth and asked, "What would you tell your younger self?" Their messages were tender and powerful, inspired and inspiring. It made me wonder: What would each of us tell our younger self? 🤔 What message did she or he need to hear, that you didn't know then but do now? If you could look in the mirror and see that wee you, what would you say? I'd tell my five-year-old self, "You'll be amazed by all the things you'll be able to do in life. At times you'll feel discouraged, but trust yourself and stick with it." I'd tell my adolescent self, "The things you think make you weird right now will define you in the best ways when you're older. Weird is cool." I'd tell my teenage self, "I know you often feel like you're in a tough situation where you aren't sure what the right answer is. The best solutions come when you listen to both your mind and your heart. When you're uncertain, slow down and check in with yourself. Let your heart show you What to do, and your mind show you How." How about you? What would you tell your younger self? #olympics #sports #self #executivecoach

I recently came across a thought-provoking tale in the Indian epic - Mahabharata about the incredible power of focus. The story describes how Dronacharya, the great teacher, was training the Kuru princes in archery and discipline. To test their focus, he instructed them to shoot the eye of a bird perched on a tree. While the other princes saw the whole bird and tree, Arjuna, the most skilled archer among them, saw only the eye of the bird, blocking out all distractions to focus solely on the target. Arjuna's singular focus reminds me of great tennis player - Serena Williams. She uses a technique called "quiet eye" - maintaining a steady gaze on the ball for a few seconds that leads to better results. This helps initiate a flow state where she stays fully present and focused. As Serena explains, "Being in the moment and just focus on one point at a time...just that sole point, and then the next one, and the next one." https://lnkd.in/gfNfjUEC The common thread is the power of singular focus. By eliminating distractions, ignoring the noise, and staying fully engaged in the present moment, we can accomplish our goals by focusing on one thing at a time. This ancient wisdom holds true even today. What are your best tips for achieving laser-like focus? Share them in the comments below! #productivity #goals #ancientwisdom #mahabharata #serenawilliams

While watching the Olympics, I couldn't help but think about Kristin Neff's self-compassion work. Often those who are most highly self-critical, struggle most with learning and applying self-compassion. The belief is that any ounce of kindness towards oneself will somehow result in loss of status, achievement, accomplishment, and self-esteem, which is too high of a threat to risk. It takes courage for someone like Simone Biles to flip the script on its head and choose a different route on her path of success. We are used to seeing scenarios like these where someone doubles down, pushes themselves beyond their limits, ignores their own inner guidance system, sacrifices themselves at all costs for the sake of the outcome they desire or are expected to obtain. Instead, Simone took a completely different approach that will go down in history. She chose stepping away. She chose keeping herself safe. She chose taking a beat. She then chose returning step by step at a slow and steady pace instead of going full steam ahead. She chose building trust with herself in determining what her next course of action was going to be. This is how she changed her narrative. This is how she challenged all of the external voices. This is how she knew she could return to the sport because at the end of the day, it wasn't about solely training harder at the gym to perfect her skills, it was that she figured out how to be so kind to herself that regardless of the outcome, she had complete trust that she would have her own back. That is her success story that will model to so many women the permission to understanding that sometimes by taking your foot off the gas (even for a moment), you may just find your way back to the road with more ease, confidence, and satisfaction than you could have ever anticipated. "It's not the case that self-compassion leads to complacency or inertia. Quite the opposite. By losing our fear of failure, we became free to challenge ourselves to a far greater degree than would otherwise be possible."-Kristin Neff #simonebiles #olympics #mentalhealth #successstories #kristinneff #gymnastics #therapy

The Power of Passion (and a Little Obsession) We’ve all heard it before—passion is key. But after watching the Olympics (which being self-employed allowed me to become obsessed with it 🥴), it’s clear just how true that is. Although breakdancing...really?! In work, just like in sports, passion is the secret sauce. It’s what keeps us going when the going gets tough 💪, fuels those early mornings (for others maybe late nights🌙), and makes us go from good to great. Without it, we’d probably just be half-watching the Olympics instead of being fully invested (and maybe not getting quite as much work done…). So, as I now try to find an Olympic worthy replacement 📺, I’m reminded of how important it is to love what you do. Passion is what makes the difference between just showing up and truly showing up. Here’s to finding that thing that makes you jump out of bed in the morning 🌅 (and stay up too late inspired watching others absolutely crush it)! #Passion #Olympics #TeamIreland #WorkHardPlayHard #EntrepreneurLife

Today's power word? Resilience. 🎾 Just like mastering a challenging match in tennis, life's hurdles demand we bounce back stronger and wiser with each play. As someone deeply immersed in the sports world, I can attest that resilience isn't just a strategy; it's a way of life. Whether on the court or navigating our daily challenges, it's our ultimate ace. So, what's your word today? Share and let's motivate one another. #Resilience #BringItOn 💪

I help CEOs, athletes and performers to resolve stress instantly with long term results using 🧠mental and ⚡quantum subconscious reprogramming- TRY IT NOW⬇️
🔴You only get what you feel you deserve, but on a subconscious level. The subconscious is ourbl emotional mind.🔴 ✍🏻What does that mean? Have a try, think about things that you feel comfortable having... For example little things, a new t shirt, a new mobile ..see how you feel emotionally, you probably feel ok with that : calm, no excitement, just " yeah, I can have it". This is REAL ALIGNMENT 💥 ✍🏻Now think about your next goal in your Carrer, where do you want to get? See if emotionally you feel the same way as before ... If you feel excited, fearful, unsure .. these are signs that you are not aligned.😭 What you need to do is finding out what is limiting you envision it, otherwise the way to get there will probably be full of ups and downs and it will be very difficult for you to get there (if you will). 🧠⚛️Join our community if you want to know how to access to your subconscious limitations...new courses and events are coming. #kobiebryant #athletementality #basketballtraining #basketballtips #nbapreseason #nbaplayers #athletesmentalhealth #mentalstrength #spiritualathlete #spiritualjourney #athletesjourney #sportsuccess #sportperson #sporthacks #probasketball #elitebasketball

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." This is a reminder to never let your age hinder your ambition. I'm inspired by stories of amazing people who are 70 years old plus out skydiving, getting a degree, boxing with 30 year olds and knocking them out! There will be limitations on ability as you get older, but the biggest obstacle most face? Is their own fear fueled by the doubts of others. Remember today that you have the courage, yes you, deep down. It is what has gotten you to this point in your life. The next time you have a goal or a dream, go for it, pursue it. Reach for the stars! Drown out the naysayers, find your inner strength and make it happen. You may have heard of YOLO, likely with stonks. It is true though. You only live once. I'm certain when it is my time I will look back and have regrets and opportunities I missed, but I want that list to be as small as possible. Whatever is on your mind, that ambition or goal that seems just beyond reach, take another step today. Ignore the noise of the world and the hesitation of fear. I'm hoping one more box and lifelong goal becomes that much closer to completion for you in the near future. Be kind, share love, find joy. #bekindsharelovefindjoy #fear #goals #ambition #yolo
