Transforming the mindset of 22 x 18-year-olds is 𝗻𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗸𝗲 4 things we've implemented to transform our team's mentality 👇 In October, my sporting director offered me the opportunity to take on the U18s team at Don Bosco I was hesitant Why? Because I already coach the U16s and the U18s team was a BIG challenge They'd lost 4 out of their first 6 games Divided dressing room Too much testosterone They'd been relegated the season before and the damaged egos combined with the blame culture were killing the team So, obviously, I said yes. Here are 4 things we've implemented to transform our team's mentality and get them back up to the top of the table! 🚀 (and we've just won our 5th consecutive match so something's working!) ✔️ individual player self-analysis 🔍 We asked each the following - What are your strengths as a player? - Where can you improve? - Where can the team improve? - Finally, finish the statement: "My way of thinking..." ✔️ creating awareness and expectations 🌍 We asked each player... - Why do you play for this team and what's the best thing about it? - How do you want to behave? - How do you want your teammates to behave? - How do you want your coaches to behave? ✔️ creating a WINNING mentality 🏆 - creating confidence in team talks - understanding failure and how to use your losses to your advantage - losing is only a failure if you don't learn from the mistakes you made - using real-life situations to trigger drive and energy in the team ✔️ we are a family 👨👩👧👦 - creating a family within the team where there is unconditional respect - the way that you react to protect your family should be the way you protect your brothers on the pitch We're almost undefeated in 2024 with just 1 loss long may it continue!! #juvenil #youthfootball #fútbol #mindset #valencia #donbosco

At the end of another busy week working on lots of interesting property projects, we're throwing it back to Monday morning's team game. This week's game was a coordination race, where the team had to match the tiles with the right hand signals.
