Researching #AFNs in Poland! 🇵🇱   Today we present the key insights from our research in #Poland which showed that: 👩🏻🌾 93 AFNs were identified during the research, of which 37 are advanced. 📍 Most AFNs are located in the voivodeships (regions) of Wielkopolska (20 AFNs) 🤝🏻 The most common form of AFNs are platforms, followed by direct retail initiatives. 📦 The most prevalent distribution channel is own delivery, followed by shop at producer's site. 🚚 Cars are the predominant mode of transportation for deliveries. AFNs in Poland are developing dynamically as more and more Polish consumers pay attention to the local origin and ecology of the products they buy. Polish AFNs are implementing innovative #Logistics solutions, such as digital order management, outsourcing of transport services and the use of sustainable means of transport in urban areas. Even though government policies address the shortening of food supply chains and promote AFNs, there is still no structured programme to support producers in their promotion. Furthermore, the rate of computerisation and automation of AFNs in the context of logistics management is low.
