Not a frequent poster, but found this new emerging dynamic fascinating. Judge Alsup telling X Corp. that you can't assert copyright-like control over user generated content. Why so important? Because X. Corp. can't exercise control over user-generated content and maintain its Section 230 CDA immunity. Question will become which will become more valuable? Will it be worth it one day for the X Corps of the world to take ownership of user generated content to control data access and risk publisher liability? This might be the easiest way to amend Section 230; make it less valuable.
