The day after… Did you know that the day after mother's day, women's Mental Health Awareness Week started? 19% of women struggle with mental health issues, over app. 12% of men. It's time to be more open about these issues! For instance, approximately 1 in 10 women will experience postpartum depression, with some studies reporting even 1 in 7 women. It's a severe condition that generally lasts 3 to 6 months. The taboo around the topic is big: it is estimated that nearly 50% of mothers with postpartum depression are not diagnosed by a health professional, and therefor also do not receive the proper care. Time for a change! At Flouria we try to support women in their overall health, including supporting them with their mental wellbeing. We make the barrier to contact as low as possible, and stimulate women to seek and find the help they need, when they need it most... #womenshealth #femalefounders #healthtech #mentalhealthweek #womensmentalhealth

Mental health awareness holds profound importance for women, as they face unique challenges and societal pressures that can impact their psychological well-being. From navigating gender-based discrimination and inequalities to managing the multiple roles they often juggle as caregivers, professionals, and community members, women often experience heightened stress and emotional strain. Additionally, biological factors such as hormonal fluctuations and reproductive health issues can further influence women's mental health. Therefore, fostering mental health awareness specifically tailored to women's needs is essential for promoting early intervention, destigmatizing seeking help, and providing appropriate support. By recognizing and addressing the specific mental health challenges faced by women, society can empower them to prioritize self-care, seek treatment when needed, and ultimately lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. #mentalhealthmatters #womanlifefreedom #womenempoweringwomen #mentalhealthawareness

🌟Understanding and Supporting Women with Anxiety** In recent years, awareness about mental health issues has grown significantly, but the conversation often overlooks how uniquely anxiety affects women. Studies show that women are twice as likely as men to experience anxiety disorders, influenced by a complex blend of biological, psychological, and cultural factors **Why Focus on Women?** - **Hormonal Fluctuations**: Women experience significant hormonal changes throughout their lives, which can trigger or worsen anxiety. - **Social Pressures**: Expectations to manage careers, families, and social lives perfectly can be overwhelming. - **Underreporting and Misdiagnosis**: Women are more likely to express their anxiety as physical symptoms, leading to underreporting and misdiagnosis. 🤝 **How Can We Help?** - **Encourage Open Conversations**: Make your environment a safe space for discussions about mental health. - **Educate and Inform**: Share resources and information to help women recognize and understand their symptoms. - **Support Access to Care**: Advocate for policies and programs that improve access to mental health services for women. Let's be the change and support the women around us by recognizing, understanding, and addressing their unique experiences with anxiety. #MentalHealthAwareness #WomenSupportingWomen #AnxietyAwareness This post aims to inform and encourage a supportive community dialogue around the issue of anxiety in women.

Today, as part of Women's Health Week, the focus is on "Courageous Conversations." This theme resonates deeply when we consider the importance of open dialogue around women's mental health. Too often, women are discouraged from discussing their mental health struggles due to stigma and fear of judgment. However, engaging in courageous conversations—where we speak openly and honestly about our experiences—can be incredibly empowering. These conversations are vital for breaking down barriers and challenging misconceptions about mental health. By sharing stories and listening to others, we create a supportive environment where all women feel safe to express their emotions and seek help when needed. Let's use today's theme as a reminder to have those brave conversations, whether it's with a friend, a colleague, or a mental health professional. Together, we can build a community where every woman's mental well-being is prioritized and every voice is heard. #WomensHealthWeek2024 #CourageousConversations #MentalHealthMatters #WomenSupportingWomen #womensmentalhealth
