🎢 Révision du MDR : un frémissement européen ! ⭐Aujourd'hui, la Commission européenne interviendra en séance plenière du Parlement européen avec le statement suivant "Urgent need to revise the medical devices regulation -MDR" (https://urls.fr/UhqmZV) à la demande du PPE et notamment de Peter Liese. 👉 Peter Liese est le coordinateur du PPE en commission de l’Environnement et de la Santé publique (Envi). Il plaide de longue date pour une révision du MDR. Le 12 juillet, il avait proposé des amendements (https://urlz.fr/sxeT) qui permettent de concilier sécurité des patients et competitivité des entreprises européennes : 🗨 prolonger la durée de validité des certificats classe IIb et III à dix ans (contre cinq actuellement), pour alléger les coûts et la charge administrative liés aux renouvellements fréquents 🗨 recertifier uniquement les dispositifs les plus risqués 🗨 créer un bureau de soutien aux PME 🗨 alléger les exigences post-marché avec des mises à jour pour les changements significatifs dans le rapport bénéfice-risque 🗨 harmoniser les exigences relatives à la documentation technique entre les organismes notifiés, ce qui faciliterait les changements d'organismes pour les fabricants. 🌘 Nous saurons ce soir si la Commission européenne a pris la mesure du sujet porté depuis plusieurs années par MedTech Europe, le SNITEM, AFIDEO, BVMed - Bundesverband Medizintechnologie, MedTech in France et bien d'autres associations ! Selon un rapport de 2022 de MedTech Europe, le marché européen pourrait connaître une réduction de près de 20 % du nombre de DM. Jusqu'à la moitié des fabricants envisageraient de s’orienter vers d’autres marchés, notamment américains. Et selon une étude en Allemagne, près de 97 % des répondants éprouveraient des difficultés à mettre en œuvre le règlement MDR.
