Learning to fix rockets is just as important as learning how to fly the rockets.
Today United Pilots Capt. Christopher Behnam embarks on his final flight, concluding a remarkable 38-year career on the flight deck. We look back on one of his most heroic moments: safely landing UAL Flight 1175 in Honolulu after a catastrophic engine failure, saving all 381 lives on board in February 2018. In critical moments like this, teamwork, vigilance and skill are paramount. It’s a testament to the importance of having at least two well-trained, well-rested, and highly qualified pilots on the flight deck—ensuring safety in the sky. safetystartswith2.com #SafetyStartsWith2

Happiness has many forms, and for aviators, it takes flight in the boundless sky above. ☁ However, a good pilot knows there's more to this happiness than the allure of the skies. It's the camaraderie shared among passionate aviators, the lifelong friendships forged in hangars, and the shared love for the soaring beauty of flight. 🧡 #FlightSchool #FlightTraining #Aviation #AirplaneWindows #GeorgiaFlightSchools #NorthGeorgia #ScenicGeorgia

Aerospace & Defence | Air Traffic Management | Advanced Air Mobility| Operations&Strategy | Curious about things ‘aviation’!
On this Pilot's Day.I wish all fellow aviators fair tailwinds and blue skies. In fact, I want to share the pride and most mesmerizing moment in an aviator's life - the first solo flight. Even though you may have seen the Earth from above many times, the experience of leaving terra firma and reaching the skies alone offers a different perspective. It is literally a groundbreaking moment. Once you have done it and managed to land the aircraft all by yourself and walk out of the cockpit, many things change. As a young aviator, the sense of responsibility slowly makes space in your consciousness. Your outlook towards men and machines climbs a ladder. Defying gravity fills you with a sense of pride and responsibility. After all these experiences, you become part of a magical industry or legacy you might refer to as aviation or a professional called a pilot.
