From parcels for online purchases to coffee-to-go cups, packaging is almost everywhere. How much of it goes to waste? 🗑️ In 2021, the EU experienced an increase of 10.8 kg more per person than in 2020, the biggest increase in 10 years, and almost 32 kg more than in 2011. Compared with 2020, both plastic packaging waste generation and recycling increased: generation increased by 1.4 kg per capita (+4.0%) and recycling by +1.2 kg per capita (+9.5%).    What can we expect in 2022 and 2023? #packagingwaste #packagingindustry #recyclingsolutions

Royal Carting & Welsh Sanitation Service accepts all numbers for recycling, excluding plastics that do not pass the "poke test." The Simpler Recycling waste reforms are set to take effect from 31 March 2025. Businesses, schools, hospitals and other ‘non-household municipal premises’ in England will be required to separate dry recycling (including paper, card, plastic packaging, glass and metal) from general waste for collection.
