So, our brilliant Kate Everett started running her 'Weekly Wins' update. It's the best email of the week and gives us the chance as a team to be present and celebrate our successes together. ✨ It doesn't matter if you are a team of one or 100. Every Friday I send out a 'Weekly Wins' update to my team. Why? We spend so much of our time looking at what we need to do next that we often don't take the time to pause, recognise our achievements and say thank you for a job well done. For me, it's also about visibility. On busy weeks, everyone sees me running around, but don't always know where, why or what the outcomes were (and I struggle to sometimes). It's a nice way to end the week, connect and enjoy the moment. I want my team to know that I see and appreciate their hard work and brilliance. I was (and am) inspired by Mark Heasman, who runs a huge social enterprise but takes a minute every single week to reach out to his people and share his insight in 'A Minute with Mark'. Well that will be us up there on the short list for best integrated campaign 👊 from the world renowned and prestigious The Drum Awards As part of our marketing transformation, 12 months ago we set ourselves an ambition to get some marketing swagger (aka a hefty gold embellishment for our newly installed and ambitiously big trophy cabinet). 2023 What a year * 25% growth Vs 2022 * Hit revenue milestone 5 times * Achieved market entry in 3 channels What worked? SEM Support: You can know the job, you can be the most creative, without support you are just planning with no little or no action. I got support from both internal and external stakeholders, this is where EQ comes in handy. Execution: Action more, spend less time on planning. My highlight was the implementation and execution of Price increase which was extremely successful. The most resourceful people are execution driven. Mentorship: Regular check-ins with industry friends and OGs, this eliminated time wastage. One thing that made this easier for me was I did not go to anyone “blank”, I always went with something for them to work on/review with me. 2024- NO GREE FOR ANYBODY

How do you feel when someone asks you about your wins? If you’ve just launched a fabulous new product, smashed a sales goal or secured a dream speaking gig, it feels fantastic to share your news. Those moments are amazing and absolutely worth celebrating. But what about when you've been focused on quieter (but oh-so-crucial) tasks – like sending emails, delivering client work on time, prepping for a webinar or posting content? Would you shout about those? Or would you stay quiet and feel, well, maybe a bit inadequate, feeling you’ve nothing significant to share? But here’s the thing: it’s consistently delivering these everyday activities that actually builds our businesses. And maybe if we start celebrating these achievements as wins too, we’ll boost our confidence rather than feeling like we’re not doing enough. We might even find ourselves going a bit further, a bit faster. Until suddenly those massive ‘big’ wins that seemed out of reach are only few mini-steps away. Now I think that’s something to truly shout about! So, this week I’m going to celebrate my micro-wins – however tiny. Will you join me? I’d love to hear and celebrate yours too. 🙌

One of my favourite tactics for celebrating wins and giving your team recognition that is meaningful to them: Email a summary of the win to your own boss, perhaps even the CEO of the company, and cc your team member(s) who is responsible for the win. If your boss or CEO isn't a natural replier to emails, back channel a message to them and ask them to reply and acknowledge the win. It means more to your team that you'll ever realise to get recognition from those above you.

Feels like it was just yesterday taking this pic of Elise Muraca and Conan Gormley on their first day at Docebo 🤣🔫 Half a year later they’ve shed the “newbies” title and are leading the team in meetings booked this month 😎 While we’re celebrating their wins today, it wasn’t always happy days (as Conan would say). It took a lot of trial and error, resilience, patience and trust that they would get to this point. Things that stood out working closely with both of them: -Connecting with top performers internally and finding out what’s working for them -Asking every question possible (especially you Elise 😇) and being curious, challenging ways. -Finding and testing their own style. We want reps with fresh perspectives and ideas so we can continue evolving our outreach. -Asking for coaching. Credit to them they were open to any feedback and would pivot or adjust when needed. Things move fast in sales, and I’m excited to see the wins our recent group of new hires will celebrate in a few months 💙 For now, Elise keep crushing it and Conan enjoy your well deserved time off 🇬🇧

Here's how to be discontent and unhappy in three easy steps: 1️⃣Envy what you see on social media because you think that is real. 2️⃣Despair because you haven't been awarded for the latest 30 under 30 award because you forget that people are more willing to post about highlights than lowlights. 3️⃣Compare yourself to others because you know who doesn't like to feel like they are wayyy behind. In all seriousness, stay level. There isn't some rule out there that says you need to accomplish said task at said date. Chill, you are right on time. Run your own race and remember that extraordinary is simply a string of ordinary actions put together over time.
