How do you feel after a networking event? Inspired or exhausted? I am inspired and riding high after last night's Happy Hour for Female Founders at Chicago Tech Week hosted by Ari Krzyzek and Kelsey Gilbert-Kreiling, fellow members in The Female Founder Collective 10th House. I met so many inspiring women as we got to know each other and shared about our work, celebrating wins together, and asking "how can I help" when we candidly shared challenges. Because this was instantly a safe space with women - founders, partners, and, yes, consultants - wanting to help each other make a difference and drive positive change in tech. Thank you, Ari and Kelsey, for bringing us together to connect! We need new input. Things get super weird otherwise. (I'll share one of my #MidJourney re-prompt nightmares with you if you ask nicely.) We need new input in #AI. Same goes for “innovation,” which can sometimes (often) feel like it's stuck in a #loop. Just go take a look at the billboards along Highway 101... *yaaaaaawn* I've said it before, and I'll say it again, *innovation doesn't happen in isolation.* Last week, at the #llamalounge Amazon Web Services (AWS) event, I watched woman after woman get on stage and pitch their AI startups. Jeremiah Owyang spoke briefly about what a mistake it would be to not have women's voices in tech and AI and that is why he prioritizes them. He's not wrong. And *now* is the time to invest in them. (or maybe yesterday). Tomorrow, I’m excited to attend the Women Tech Meetup at Werqwise in #SF and meet other women leading... just... leading.
