How do you handle conflicts and differences? Conflict is an inherent part of every leader’s ministry. However, as nobody enjoys conflict, many Christians tend to “sweep disagreements under the rug” or resolve tension as quickly as possible, thinking this is the way of following Jesus. Learn how to navigate conflicts with respect and understanding in the podcast “The Kind of Fighting Every Church Needs” by Pete and Geri Scazzero. Here’s insight for people willing to work together in order to move forward.
Recently, Brené Brown had Ali Abu Awwad and Robi Damelin on her Unlocking Us podcast to discuss their firsthand experience with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. While we do not endorse every viewpoint in this episode, this is the exact type of brave conversation we need to have in our communities. We cannot end hate without challenging ourselves. We will leave you with this message from Ali Abu Awwad: "My life was quite easier when my view was one-sided. I lived with my story. With my loss. I used to have my people on my shoulder and my brother in my heart. But after I joined the Parents Circle, I had another nation on the other shoulder and I had the other stories of my enemies who were supposed to be my enemies. This is where responsibility starts...the devils are not exactly devils, they are humans. They are victims like me. We're not equal by life conditions but we're equal by this loss we are sharing. We are not able to share what is on the ground that’s why we're sharing what is underground.” Listen to the entire episode here: https://lnkd.in/d3pq8fZH

Christian Nationalism is problematic at best, and at some juncture unbiblical. One need not embrace Christian Nationalism to appreciate the influence of Christian values upon America's institution and culture.
