In architecture, the journey of DISCOVERY never ends. If we stop learning, we stop creating. But how do we keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible? By constantly exploring new materials, techniques, and trends. An architect’s work is never truly finished. The profession demands continuous learning and curiosity. Staying updated on the latest materials and technologies is key to developing innovative solutions that shape the future. This is why, as architects, we should never settle—our inspiration must come from an endless pursuit of knowledge and exploration. Just the other day, after 17,600 steps and a strong sense of curiosity as always, I had the privilege of attending #Cersaie 2024 in Bologna, one of the largest exhibitions for ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings. It was an incredible opportunity to dive into the latest market trends and discover the technological and artistic innovations that will define 2025. From cutting-edge materials to breakthrough designs, the experience was a reminder that the world of architecture is constantly evolving, and so must we. Now, with renewed energy and inspiration, we’re ready to unleash our creativity. Continuous research isn’t just an option for architects—it’s a necessity. To push the boundaries of design and create the spaces of tomorrow, we must remain committed to learning and evolving. Today, Ireland witnesses a quiet revolution in the heart of its communities, a dream realized in the form of a pharmacy that embodies health and wellness. When Dr. Fergus Brennan, the guiding light of Brennan's Pharmacy Group, first imagined a new kind of pharmacy, he sought the counsel of numerous local architects. Many designs were born, yet none captured the true spirit of his vision. Our journey began with countless video calls, each a window into hours of heartfelt conversation about what a pharmacy represents in our times—the challenges, the changes, the relentless march of chain stores, and the stagnation of new developments. Yet, despite these formidable obstacles, there remained a spark of determination, a desire to create something singular and extraordinary. Today, the Brennans Pharmacy Chain has opened its latest location in Letterkenny, in the North West of Ireland. This 2,500 sq ft store specializes in healthcare and wellness. A few months ago, we were contacted by the owner, Dr. Fergus Brennan, to design and implement a new flagship concept for the Irish territory. Dr. Brennan, a community pharmacist, had previously worked with established store designers and shopfitters in Ireland but wanted something different to reposition his brand.
