Looks like a typical home from the street The only thing, its not your typical home, it is a Net Zero home. This client was quite educated and engaged Matt Gibson, Bluefish Projects to help with the construction while we did the energy modeling and validation during and after construction. What makes this impressive was that a balanced approached was undertaken, firstly with upgrades to the building envelope, like... Attic to R60, extra R12 to the exterior wall, triple pane U=0.9 windows, ccASHP, Heat Pump Hot Water and air tightness of 1.02 ACH. Then they added a 10kW solar PV system with battery backup. What makes this so good is the balanced approach, overall energy consumption is 43 GJ while energy production is 46 GJ achieving. As you drive down a typical street you would not even know this is a Net Zero home. Helping homeowners and builders every day.

"Would installing solar panels increase the value of my home?" We get asked this question on many of our consultations and we would say, yes it does enhance the value of your property. Many homebuyers are increasingly interested in eco-friendly and energy-efficient features. A solar panel system not only demonstrates a commitment to sustainability but also provides a tangible and valuable asset. Homes equipped with solar panels often attract environmentally conscious buyers who are willing to pay a premium for a property with lower energy costs. This increase in value can offer a return on investment for homeowners, making solar panel installations an attractive long-term investment. One study conducted by Admiral Money recently found solar panels can boost a property’s value by as much as 25%. 💻️: https://lnkd.in/ggeYkWky 📧: [email protected] ☎️: 0141 239 3510
