It was an honour to be part of Bram’s bookcouncil. Bram’s energizing book launch, had another beautiful suprise. I realised that the more than 15 preperation hours we spent together suddenly creates great high quality contacts. It turns out they are contacts with a depth of understanding equal to years. This is caused by the specific workshops focused - in depth and well facilitated - on one of the book topics. Acceleration is not always about going faster, it can also be about going deeper. Grasping a concept, has the power to unlock a situation. Moving from hopeless to hopefull even. Knowledge is not the most important element in change , but it sure can ignite it. MODEX achieved its largest event in Atlanta by filling all three halls at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) for the first time in its 12-year history. The biennial manufacturing and supply chain trade show for North and South America, held March 11-14, attracted 48,733 registered manufacturing and supply chain professionals and 1,164 exhibitors across 580,000 net square feet of exhibit space. With a 32% increase in registered visitors compared to MODEX 2022, which had 37,047 registered attendees, the 2024 show surpassed expectations, according to officials from MHI, the international material handling, logistics, and supply chain industry association that owns and produces the event. This is it! My big break! I've finally made it to the big leagues... Being in the industry for just shy of two years now, I've heard so many things about this show. 70,000 people. The 2nd largest American tradeshow behind Consumer Electronics World Expo. Floor so big it's impossible to cover it all. And I get to enjoy that California sunshine for 5 or 6 days. For those who have been connected with my for several years, you may recall the 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 we ran on some interesting topics. One of the challenges we had at the time was to get enough participation to keep the Live Events going... it therefore stalled :-( You would expect people and companies want exposure to present their thinking on how they can help the glass container industry... but getting participation was difficult... maybe a little 'stage fright'? Not sure... 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐖𝐀𝐘, 𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐓 𝐔𝐏 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐒...
