When we all pull together in the same direction... Like the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), the Spanish Chamber of Commerce (Cámara de Comercio de España) is a public corporation whose goal is to represent, promote and support the general interests of more than 680,000 Spanish companies. The range of services is impressive. Policy positions are developed by so-called committees with business representatives. The topics of circular economy, energy and mobility play a particularly important role. The following are examples of the valuable work of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce 👉 Circular Economy: https://lnkd.in/gFatz_xi 👉 Energy: https://lnkd.in/gBqS_GfP 👉 Mobility: https://lnkd.in/gBspBu7Z For the WKÖ delegation within the framework of Strategic Capital Networking and for our hosts in Madrid, the answers to climate change have to be considered holistically. Goals are not set only on paper, but have to be implemented in everyday life. But this requires solutions, not just timetables. And not just for one region, but globally. Many thanks to the Raúl Mínguez Fuentes, Jaime Montalvo, Andrés Pereda, Laura Blanco Suárez, Alejandra González, Nacho Casas Vilaseca and Ana López for sharing our views and positions! We stay tuned - Christian Mandl, Karin Jessernigg-Putz, Jürgen A. Reflecting back to my Austrian roots in the 70s and 80s, Italy's vibrant culture was a luminous presence in our lives. It was a time when the Italian influence was palpable, from the Vespa's hum in the streets to the cinematic dreams inspired by Italian films. Yet, today, it seems the cultural tides have turned, with Italy's presence dimming for Austria's youth. 🎥 In today's episode of "Procurement in the Park," we delve deep into the heart of Italy's storied legacy and explore its untapped potential to once again become a cornerstone of global business innovation. 🛠️ A memorable encounter early in my procurement career embodies the quintessential Italian spirit. The managing director of an Italian shock absorber supplier, faced with a daunting deadline, undertook a Herculean effort. Battling through a fierce winter storm, he personally delivered prototypes across the Alps, setting an unparalleled standard of dedication and excellence that continues to inspire me. Despite facing economic complexities and the challenges of a changing global market, Italy's iconic brands and vibrant SMEs stand as a testament to its enduring allure and innovative spirit. With promising reforms on the horizon, there's a palpable sense of anticipation for what the future holds. 🌱 Yet, the essence of Italy's resurgence lies in the heart of its businesses—rooted in a tradition of creativity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. These are the values that can propel Italy and those who embrace its ethos to new heights on the global stage. As someone who has witnessed the remarkable capabilities of Italian partners, I urge my fellow procurement professionals and business leaders to look beyond the surface. In Italy's commitment and craftsmanship, there's a wealth of opportunity waiting to be rediscovered. Let's reignite the torch of Italian ingenuity and excellence. Together, let's celebrate and leverage Italy's profound contributions to the global marketplace. #ItalianExcellence #GlobalInnovation #CulturalHeritage #BusinessEthos #RediscoverItaly https://lnkd.in/dXFVhj9N

As I spend a few days in my hometown, Bari, nestled in the warmth of Southern Italy, to attend family matters, I find myself reflecting on the contrasts and connections between here and Brussels, where I work and live. Brussels, and in particular the Brussels we use to call the 'Euro Bubble', is a melting pot of policy-making, lobbying, and strategic engagements, shaping the future of Europe. It's a city where diverse cultures intersect, creating a vibrant mosaic of European unity. Yet, as I stroll through the familiar streets of Bari, where the rhythm of life dances to a different beat, Brussels seems not just geographically distant, but culturally and politically too. This contrast, however, isn't a divide but a reminder of the rich tapestry that is Europe. It underscores the importance of ensuring that European values of democracy, unity, and cooperation resonate as strongly in the bustling corridors of Brussels as they do in the serene alleyways of Bari. In these moments away from the Euro Bubble, I'm reminded that the heart of Europe beats not only in its institutions but in its farthest corners, in towns like Bari. The essence of our work in Brussels is to uphold and spread these values, ensuring they are felt and lived across the entire union. It's crucial that we bridge these distances, not just geographically but in hearts and minds, fostering a Europe that is united in its diversity. A Europe where the policies made in Brussels resonate with the daily lives of those in Bari, and vice versa.

Thriving together at the heart of Copenhagen! 🌟 Gathering once again, the French Foreign Trade Advisors - Denmark united to exchange insights and foster growth. We were honored to convene at the magnificent headquarters of Danish Industry overlooking Copenhagen's main square for over 140 years. 💡Jens Holst-Nielsen their Director for Global Development, graciously welcomed us, unveiling DI's pivotal role as Denmark's largest business and employer organization. From championing networking opportunities to advocating key policies and providing legal counsel, DI empowers both big corporations and small enterprises alike. Jens's vision is to position Denmark as the premier destination for international collaborations, among other fostering robust business ties between French and Danish enterprises. With exciting initiatives underway, like the upcoming Olympic Games delegation in Paris, comprising 50 esteemed members of Denmark's leading companies. The emphasis on sustainability was mentionned, underscoring the shared values between our countries. Delving into Denmark's economic landscape, Jens underscored its favorable position while acknowledging the challenges posed by labor shortages amidst historically low unemployment rates since 2000. During our customary 'tour de table,' each CCE shared insights gleaned from the outset of 2024, reinforcing optimistic projections following a successful 2023. However, the specter of inflation and wage hikes presents both hurdles and opportunities as we navigate international markets. Our esteemed Ambassador Christophe Parisot concluded the session with reflections on the forthcoming European elections, signaling exciting times ahead! 🇪🇺 #CCE #frenchforeigntradeadvisor #strongertogether #jimpacte Guillaume Lasnier Claire Camdessus Christophe Mugnier-Pollet Linda TIBBITS Guillaume Lebas Clémentine Lyngsø Mathieu Girardin Maija LEBEL Joëlle Laïk Caroz Sandrine Mauffrey Renaud Chevalier-Cadell Julien Bergere Anouk Reynaud

April 25th of 1974, Portugal saw a turning point — A Revolução dos Cravos —, a catalyst for a democratic transition. “Portugal e o Futuro” a book that Inspired this historic event, sparked the action for a free country. Just as Portugal broke from its past, we are uncovering futures with "Lisboa e o Futuro," collecting and reporting opportunities for a long-term and innovative transition for tomorrow’s Lisbon. Democratizing futures implies gathering insights, uniting diverse voices, and converting willpower into actionable change. We too are living at a turning point, built step-by-step, full of optimism. By co-creating the democratization of the future we empower all stakeholders to be part of this change. This isn't just about one day or a festival — it's about laying the groundwork for sustained progress, rooted in empathy. As we look ahead, we honor this 50 years not only as a historical milestone but as a reminder of the power of collective action to create lasting change. #FutureDays #ActionableFutures #DemocratizingFutures

Celebrating 20 Years of Change: Poland and the European Union May 1st, 2004 was a landmark day for Poland as it joined the European Union alongside nine other countries. Reflecting on this today, I vividly remember celebrating Poland's EU accession with a glass of prosecco, even though I was still underage — thanks to special permission from my mom! Seeing my parents on that day - so moved and hopeful about our country's future was really memorable. My father told me it would start a real transformation period for Poland. And indeed, it has been. According to the Polish Economic Institute, Poland’s GDP per capita PPP has grown an impressive 4.2% annually over the last 20 years — and cumulatively 40% more than if we had remained outside the EU. Without accession, country's standard of living today might have been similar to that of 2014-2015 (read the full report: https://lnkd.in/d7qC922X). Today, I toast once more to celebrate this 20th anniversary and the broader achievements of the European Union.

:🇮🇹✨ Reflecting on Italy's unparalleled cultural legacy and its leading position on the global stage fills me with immense pride. As an Italian expat in the USA, it's a joy to share that Italy stands at the zenith of cultural influence and heritage preservation: 🥇 Global Leader in Cultural Influence 🥇 Top Country for UNESCO World Heritage Sites Italy's impressive tally of 59 UNESCO World Heritage Sites as of September 2023 is a testament to its rich tapestry of history, art, and natural beauty. This distinction not only highlights the country's commitment to preserving its legacy but also its role in fostering international cooperation and understanding through culture. From the architectural marvels of ancient Rome to the Renaissance masterpieces that define our cities, each site tells a story of innovation, resilience, and human achievement. It's this shared heritage that Italy offers to the world, inviting exploration, learning, and inspiration. These recognitions are underpinned by rigorous data and analysis from The European House – Ambrosetti, reflecting Italy's significant contribution to global culture and heritage. As we celebrate these achievements, let's continue to support and engage with the arts and historical preservation, ensuring this legacy endures for future generations. ##ItalianExcellence #MadeInItaly
