The battle of the big Tech: BUT WE ARE WINNING Have you ever Heard these TV names being thrown around on your local advert, MicroLED, LCD and AMOLED/QLED. The technology in our TV screens by big tech companies such as SAMSUNG and LG have been on huge scramble towards the perfect TV. So which one is the King? Well , all them. Maybe. Display technologies such as LCDs, OLEDs, and micro LED are evolving towards one convergent form. This is called carcinization, where different animals converge independently to the form of crabs( Like everyone using the best amour in a video game). LCDs dominated consumer electronic devices in the mid-2000s, replacing the old CRT monitors and TVs. But later stiff competition from OLED TVs, which can form darker blacks and more rich contrast was a strong competitive due to its strengths being LCD's weakness. LCDs work by using a backlight, polarizers, and liquid crystals to control the passage of light and create images. But OLED in general use OLED emit light from organic compounds at different wavelengths when stimulated by different amount of electric current, hence their name, each pixel's ( consist of more than one organic layer) light can be controlled and no backlight is needed. MicroLED's is quite New, and if you have ever seems panel screens put together to form a mega screen, then you can be pretty sure its a MicroLED. As the name states, MicroLED's are thousands of individual small LED's placed together to form a screen. Hence their enormous price. But in the near future, the huge price drop observed on LCD and OLED TV's, would probably be seen for MicroLED's. Once manufacturing has improved and matured. Watch TechAltar video to Learn more how these separate Display technologies are becoming similar. Therefore my question goes again, who do you think is King? But the real question is who do you think is BENIFITTING THE MOST? Comment down below!!! . Reference: TechAltar (2024). The billion dollar race for the perfect display. [online]. LG's 2024 OLED TVs Put a Bigger Focus on AI Processing Than Ever Before: LG touts AI for its 2024 OLED TVs, but don't expect AI assistants onscreen. The Alpha 11 processor in LG's new G4 and M4 series aims to sharpen clarity, color and image quality. The G4 features LG's Micro Lens Array technology for enhanced brightness. The M4 adopts 2023's wireless connectivity to eliminate unsightly cables. The Verge adds: So the AI supposedly now understands creative intent, according to LG, and can adjust your TV's image settings accordingly. Picture purists can always ignore and disable these AI modes, but many people inevitably leave them on -- so if the upgrades are noticeable, they'll be a difference maker for those customers.
