Good morning LinkedIn! I wanted to share some photos from this week's testing of the new Banshee BXR private network in 4G/5G... designed by Nokia Mobile Networks & Nokia Federal Solutions/Fenix Group, Inc. You guys are gonna dig this. Up to 1GBps available for ~1,000 users at your fingertips, in a mobile format you can take anywhere. Fully configurable/customizable, milspec everything, with up to 20W of any paring of 4G/LTE and/or 5G frequencies in existence. Plus integrated MANET, & integrated edge compute in a rugged package built for the warfighter. What would you do with a private cellular network you could take anywhere and not have to worry about spectrum issues? What would you plug in? How would you scale your IoT networks or your hashtag #battlefield of things? Special shout-outs to Mark Hogenboom & his entire team, as well as Stefan Schaner, Matthew Drapp and their team. Terrain matters. When you're developing your communications plan, a solid understanding of RF propagation is important - especially in mobile or tactical scenarios or where sensors are present. This is one reason Fenix Group, Inc. is so focused on multi-modal communications. One waveform is good. More, integrated, bridged waveforms are better - and planning is critical. That's why we're proud to offer Soothsayer RF planning software from CloudRF. Combined with Banshee Edge Networks, #MANET, #LMR, or other communication systems, Soothsayer can tell you exactly how your radios are going to perform in a given environment. If you care about knowing what you're walking into before you get there, give us a shout. In 2023, the U.S. Air Force completed the Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) of the F-35 fighter jet using the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). This innovative approach addresses the limitations of traditional open-air ranges (OARs) by providing a secure, realistic environment for testing and training. Digital Test and Training Ranges (DTTRs), now deployed nationwide, offer unprecedented opportunities for weapon system development and tactical training. By owning and operating these facilities, the DoD can reduce costs, streamline management and enhance training efficacy against modern threats. Learn more about how DTTRs are revolutionizing military capabilities: https://lnkd.in/eABETQYE #MilitaryInnovation #F35 #USAF #DefenseAcquisitionMagazine

🥵 The US Army has developed a wearable technology that can prevent severe heat-related injuries among soldiers. The wireless Heat Injury Prevention System device can be strapped to a soldier’s chest while performing missions or doing intense physical activity. It measures critical data, such as heart rate, skin temperature, and estimated core body temperature. The tech also analyzes the wearer’s movements to predict if he is at elevated risk for heat injury. A commander or drill sergeant will be notified via cellular phone if this happens. #military #technology #militarytechnology #militarytech #innovation #defense #defence #defenseindustry #defenceindustry #unitedstates #us #usarmy #technology #wearables #wearabletech #wearabletechnology

Fenix Group, Inc. has been busy. We're receiving more inquiries than ever on how to make #3GPP technologies *tactically relevant*. Without relevance to actual warfighters, government sponsored research is just that - academics played out in government instead of the university system. It never goes anywhere, but burns a lot of budget. The use cases are myriad, but simplicity of operation is key. It's time to move out of academia and into the mud. That's why Fenix Group & Nokia are working with Defense organizations across #NATO & 5-Eyes, as well as our other partners to make JADC2/PCC4 objective outcomes a reality now. If your organization is trying to figure out what to do with multi-domain #5G, #LTE, embedded MANET & edge compute, come talk to us. We *are* warfighters. We've already done it. Our experiences in combat are why we started this journey a little over 7 years ago. We've deployed 3GPP systems in multiple nations, and in places you might not expect - with relevant lessons learned for the next fight. You can pay us to help with your research, but we'd much rather make a difference in providing overmatch advantage to the guys & gals who will put their lives on the line in the next fight. Interested in battlefield 5G & how to solve the Mobile Command Post problem? Come talk to us - or our partners at Kinected Solutions Limited & Maser Defence. The Navy is leveraging cloud services to accelerate its digital modernization efforts, addressing the critical question of functionality aboard ships with a resounding yes. Through the Flank Speed Edge project, the Navy has successfully demonstrated the capability to move terabytes of data daily between the cloud and users on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. This milestone shows a seamless connection to cloud services at sea, matching shore-based capabilities. The use of Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (P-LEO) satellites has been pivotal, providing high-bandwidth, low-latency communications, enhancing operational efficiency and continuity across various departments on the ship. Cmdr. Kevin White highlighted the ease of integrating this new technology, requiring minimal manpower while dramatically improving software update capabilities at sea. Despite some limitations, like the handling of only unclassified data, the system’s transport-agnostic design ensures versatility in connectivity methods, from military SATCOM to commercial services like Starlink. The Navy is also piloting similar concepts in other challenging environments, such as the 5th Fleet’s shore-based implementation in Bahrain, which has shown impressive resilience and seamless user experience. This advancement represents a significant step forward in the Navy’s digital transformation, promising enhanced capabilities both afloat and ashore. #navy #cloudservices #digitaltransformation #flankspeed #militarytech #pleosatellites #usnavy #innovation #connectivity #cybersecurity Source- https://lnkd.in/e2XuWRgR
