It is common knowledge that music, like all other forms of art, transcends boundaries and is a worldwide language. It's a means of self-expression and communication. 💬 🎼 When the project permits it, writing music specifically for visual art (or movies) can be highly personal and inspire one's own interpretation of the reality of the piece and the emotions connected to it. Nevertheless, since I produce music for clients, I am also obliged to be conscious of their needs, opinions, and desires. This is an example of music made especially for the Airwiggles Music Contest, where the only requirement was to compose music for this particular piece of artwork. 🖼 The minimalistic sound approach, I believe, brought to life the beach, the sea and its waves, the man lounging, the sunset, and the gentle wind breeze. I altered and adjusted the “Hybrid Keys” from Native Instruments. Similar to how the water carries its waves, the drums carry the groove as the sequenced overtones flow rhythmically across them. The synth-bass, a straightforward bass that sounds like a sinus wave, reinforces this structure by getting around melodically and rhythmically over the chord progressions and by delivering the same melody at the start and finish. Percussion sounds, along with water and wind sounds, enrich and surround the entire audio narrative of this work of art. When you see this image, what sounds or impressions do you get?
