This week is The FQ Wellness Week! Our company will be closed from June 24 – July 5 to focus on our well-being. No meetings, no emails, no Slack messages — only space to unplug, be with our loved ones, travel, hang at home, and do what we love to do. Why do we have wellness weeks twice each year? We know that rest is critical to our success as a fast-growing organization, and while we offer unlimited PTO, we believe it’s important for the company itself to take a break, too. We’re also working hard to set the agenda on what the future of work will look like, including mandatory breaks. It’s been an extraordinary first half of 2024 working to change the equation and close the gender gap across industries. We’ll be re-energized for the back half of the year and continue to advance equality together. Thank you to our partners, collaborators, and community. We’ll get back to your DMs and emails July 8!

Yes! So important to remember as a freelancer as well - when it's so easy to use up all your free/rest time with planning for the next thing.

Breaks are indeed a must, The Female Quotient. Refresh, relax, rewind, and come back reignited! 🔥

We’re all trying to find our path, and in that process a lot of micro trails are created that take energy. As long as it’s forward progress, the pace shouldn’t matter. Kind of like my golf game. 😂

Absolutely loving this!! Taking a company-wide break for well-being sets such a positive example. Keep it going! 😍

Breaks are needed! But then I'd like to ask, why do employers see gaps in employement as problematic? If someone needs a break....should they have to explain it?

This speaks from the core of women’s agency on behalf of those that they love for millennia! This resonates from the core of that! I have no words to express how deeply this connects to wellbeing and wholeness in a culture that has lost its language to express its own needs. Celebrate by stepping back and enjoying your connection to your Self.

Love this idea FQ - I love having fully downtime for a few weeks a year to travel or relax, and shut my business across December/January every year to have a good rest and reboot. Shutting the office ensures no one stays secretly logged in and plugged in.

In a previous role, when we instituted mid year and year end closures we saw a dramatic improvement in both employee attitudes and in customer experience.
