Tell me how it is, and not what it should be. ✓ Tell me the result of taking too much alcohol and not whether it's sinful or not. ✓ Tell me that fighting can cause me damage and not that I should be a good child. ✓ Tell me that studying hard determines my success and not that if I don't study, you will be disappointed in me. ✓ Tell me that joining cult will endanger my life and not that you will disown me. ✓ Tell me the result of polygamous family and not how sinful it is. ✓ Tell me the result of dressing modestly and not why I must dress modestly. ✓ Tell me both the merit and demerit of partying and not why I mustn't party. ✓ Tell me why prayer is important in my life and not that if I don't pray, I'm not spiritual. ✓ When I ask you how I can be an arm robber, tell me how, tell me it's outcome and not terming me an evil being ✓ Tell me why I should go to church and not that if I don't go to church, then, I am a sinner. ✓ Tell me the consequences of being a whore and not why I mustn't be a whore. Everyone is entitled to his right. You don't force them against their will. Tell them what happens when they do this and not why they must do this. I have every right to choose between two opinions. Tell me how it is and not what it should be. Mostly, people end up being the victim when you tell them what it should be. Telling what it should be, is like choosing a side for another. When you know how it is, it's left for you to choose the right or wrong. The result will be upon you, for you will have no body to blame. I want to hear about everything that surrounds an action, and not why it's a doctrine or an order. /gud mɔnɪŋ elits/ #dictioncoach #linguist #TheWorldIsYours #TheWorldIsWaiting #TheWorldIsWatching © Mochifa Omic. -Let's Redefine The World

This... Do you understand the assignment? You know, the assignment! "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive," -- Dalai Lama XIV The words compassion and kindness are sometimes used interchangeably, but the two words have distinctive meanings. Kindness is defined as “the quality or state of being kind,” or “a kind deed,” according to Merriam-Webster. Compassion, on the other hand, is a “sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it,” according to Merriam-Webster. For many people, trying to support or alleviate the problems of others when they are dealing with their own busy lives may feel impossible. But once someone has practiced self-preservation and self-care, it’s important to look outward and focus on others. It may seem like we’re all living in our own little worlds, but at the end of the day, we are all connected and directly impacted by the choices of others. #God #bless and stay #safe y'all! One of the most comforting things about God is that you can come to Him exactly as you are. He sees you waaaaaaay before you slide into the office looking polished, and He loves you anyway. 🤗🥰 Think about this in the context of how important appearance has become in the business world. We know from psychology that, unfortunately, people do judge you based on what you look like, and although lots of offices have become more lenient about dress codes, there's still this idea that you have to look the part. I also think about the way I was raised to approach the church. It's not like I don't see people in jeans in the pews these days. But for a lot of people, church still means putting yourself together with something nice from your closet. Some do it as a basic way to respect God in His house, and I can understand wanting to show God your best as a type of offering. I'm sure some people just want to impress other attendees, too. But please understand the level of God's intimacy with you. Sure, He appreciates you making a little effort. But there's something so important in the idea that you can come to Him even when you look like you-know-what, and that He sees and loves your beauty even when your morning breath could kill an ox. If you are to accept the ever-present part of Who He is, you don't have to hide the times when you don't look the part. The prostitutes who showed off their assets around Him and His smelly fishermen followers certainly didn't. I think sometimes the whole reason He and His messengers repeatedly tell us to remove our shoes on holy ground is so that we stand in front of Him and remember as our feet kiss the dirt to be humble and remember that that's where we came from. No dressings or make-yourself-tolerable allowed. And if we remember where we come from, the more we can remember just how mind-blowingly compassionate and loving He is, because He stays with us despite the fact we're made from nothing. The more you strip down to your unpolished self and see that, despite that origin, you are still fearfully and wonderfully made, the more real and deep your relationship with Him can get. #Jesus #Faith #Christianity #Work #Inspiration

The Jacobite rebellion of 1745 and its tragic consequences have always been viewed through a prism of romantic idealism, and never more so than now, as history metamorphoses into fantasy. CORONACH explores the uncomfortable truths of the years between 1746 and 1790 in Scotland, and sets them within the context of a century of war: a world war waged on land and sea from the killing grounds of the Low Countries to the raw wilderness of North America. And in this relentless striving for global supremacy among nations, the life of an individual is a mote of dust, and of as much significance to an invading army. Why should you read it? If you are American, it will speak to you of the founding of your country, and cast a perhaps unexpected light on the seeds of revolution. If you are Canadian, you will understand the Scots who explored, charted, fought for and governed that vast, fur-bearing territory and, from Nova Scotia to the Mackenzie and the Fraser, inscribed Scotland forever on its maps. If you are English, CORONACH will illuminate a century of magnificence: if you are Scottish, this is your heritage. If you are French, CORONACH will evoke for you the menace and majesty of Britain's implacable foe. If you are a soldier, you will read of duty, service and the uniform's brotherhood. If you are a pacifist, you will find justification. If you are a believer or an atheist, you will see the struggle for God amidst the surrounding darkness. CORONACH is a novel of passion, explicit and powerful, for sexuality is perhaps the most profound of all human experiences. It is a novel of the many aspects of great love. As readers, we all come to a book with an open mind, an open heart, and say, "Tell me a story." Let me take you by the hand into the 18th century, and I will show you how it was.

For FAMA, the ideas of diversity, equity, and inclusion were fundamentally established through the gospel of Jesus Christ, who stated: "Love your neighbor as yourself." - Matthew 22:39 We serve over 1,300 households a year by canvassing each door and meeting needs, regardless of who lives there. Faith-based organizations must hold fast to this principle, serving and accepting all people as created in God's image, independently of their personal opinions, and, at times, tertiary convictions. The mandate given in God's Word included how that love was to be delivered: "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23 "Divide and conquer" is a strategy for war, one we are seeing erode the fabric of family, industry, and productivity in America today. This is why the best organizations facilitate character development through experience. This ultimately creates a team focused on higher goals, which directs the focus from those serving to those being served. To focus solely on the results, or to manipulate the process for a forced, perceived "equitable" result, is built on a lie... and ignores the opportunity to grow as a human being. Be honest. Be curious. Be consistent. Be fair. Be fruitful. People know that you care, and our goal to love our neighbors consistently exceeds their expectations. In the heart of the conflict, where the echoes of turmoil are loudest, some stories remind us of the enduring strength of hope and love. This photograph, captured by Musa Zanoun, illustrates more than a moment — it's a narrative of strength. A boy stands, hands over his heart, with a smile that transcends the strife surrounding him. It's a poignant reflection of the spirit that endures within us despite our challenges. As I reflect on the ongoing strife in the Middle East and how it reverberates with my journey, I am reminded of the common thread that binds us — the need to feel loved and to share that love with others. This young boy's simple yet profound gesture is a beacon of what we can hold onto in times of uncertainty. In the complexities of our lives, where personal and global narratives intertwine, the message I want to impart is one of unwavering compassion. Whether navigating the complexities of college, cherishing the memories of loved ones, or facing the hurdles of daily life, the heart of our humanity is reflected in our ability to love and be loved. To my LinkedIn community and to those across the globe who may stumble upon my words, know this: You are loved. You are not alone in your endeavors dreams, and especially in your moments of doubt. Let us mirror the resilience and hope of the boy in this image, and let our actions be a testament to the love that we can all share. Embracing Mid-January Reflections We are mid-January and may find ourselves already relinquishing our New Year’s Goals. Often, people include on their list of goals, acts of service or forgiving of another, or just reaching out to more people. This directive given by the Apostle John is timely and expresses the direct contrast between the empty words we may find on our lips and the concrete deeds against which we are called to measure ourselves. Let us Love, not in word or speech but in deed and Truth. - 1 Jn 3:18 What act of Love did you include in your New Year’s list of resolutions that you have not yet acted on?
