Customer Service… (and loyalty??) Why do we do this?? Our customer orders parts from an overseas manufacturer… They are made incorrectly… We are asked to URGENTLY correct the faulty machined parts… We drop everything and make the amendments quickly… Do we get the next order - NO So what have we done? We have reinforced the buyers attitude - he can get cheap parts from overseas - the faulty parts - we will be his convenient go to repair workshop. The question is… Do we continue providing a good service - in the hope of the lions share of the business - or tell him to jump in a lake??? What would you do? My feeling is - we should spend our time and effort with those that appreciate our skills.
