Have you succumbed to the silver trouser trend this season? Generally I suggest that you put most of your effort into what you are wearing on your top half, as this is next to your face (and we all know what happens if you wear a colour that isn't flattering!). However, in order to pull an outfit together, you will of course need to consider your bottom half and whether it works as a whole. Silver trousers are such statement pieces that they will influence what you wear on top, likely black, silver or a contrasting cooler shade. If you have warmth, this won't be your best look! So yes, you'll be wearing an on-trend piece, but it is unlikely to do you any favours. And, if you've had your colours analysed, you probably won't have elements in your wardrobe to make up an outfit, so you'll end up buying around it. Make metallics work for you. Gold, pewter and rose gold are still a nod to the trend but will be far more flattering on warmer skinned folk. And you'll find them so much easier to put together a fabulous outfit.
