Visionary/Inventor/Owner of a patent (pending) for a dual tech zero carbon, zero emission, zero noise ocean cargo shipping technology that generates free power as a byproduct.
A Call to Action for Whale Safety: Join SeaTrain Technology in Equipping All Vessels with 3D Forward Looking Sonar Every year, dozens of endangered whales die needlessly from ship strikes. It's a tragedy that we have the power to prevent. At SeaTrain Technology, we are committed to installing 3D Forward Looking Sonar (FLS) systems on every vessel that utilizes our technology. Pioneered by FarSounder, 3D FLS allows ships to detect submerged whales from a safe distance and avoid deadly collisions. With ship strikes being a leading cause of death for critically endangered species like the North Atlantic Right Whale, this technology is a game-changer for marine conservation. The cost of outfitting a ship with 3D FLS is insignificant compared to the value of the ship itself and its cargo. There is no excuse for any large commercial vessel to operate without this life-saving equipment. We challenge all shipping companies, vessel owners and operators worldwide to follow our lead. Commit to installing 3D FLS on your entire fleet as soon as possible. Together, we have the power to dramatically reduce whale deaths while keeping global shipping running smoothly. Let's prove that profitability and sustainability can go hand-in-hand. Let's show the world that the shipping industry is serious about being responsible stewards of our oceans. Share this post and join us in calling for industry-wide adoption of whale avoidance technology. A small investment today will pay dividends for whales and the health of our marine ecosystems for generations to come. The time for action is now.

It’s an awful truth: Whales are dying, and humans are once again to blame. But whereas a hundred years ago we were hunting them in their thousands, today a great deal of whale deaths are caused accidentally by humans, with many occurring as a result of ship strikes. Whales often inhabit shallow depths, making them difficult to spot and more susceptible to strikes from passing vessels. Fortunately, there is an immediate solution: FarSounder, based in Rhode Island, USA, offers advanced forward-looking 3D sonar systems that allow ships to detect or ‘see’ underwater obstacles - including whales - in the water ahead of a vessel. FarSounder is currently busy with a comprehensive research project to gather data and demonstrate how their technology can help reduce whale strikes. We spoke to FarSounder’s Director of Operations, Cassie Stetkiewicz, to find out more. #WhaleStrikePrevention #MarineTechnology #OceanConservation #SustainableYachting #OnboardOnline #MarineSafety #WhaleProtection

"Confirmation - Full Proposal Received # 85072" Somehow in between two tradeshows and a partner visit in 3 countries over the last two weeks, I managed to put the finishing touches on FarSounder's proposal to National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's `Vessel Strike Avoidance Fund 2024`. Big thanks to my colleague Heath Henley for working on this with me from our appartment in Cannes during #CYF last week. Our proposal addresses an important topic: helping to protect the dwindling population of the North Atlantic Right Whale. I see #3DForwardLookingSonar as playing a critical role in helping to mitigate this issue. Our customers can use our products to detect #whales ahead of their vessels in real-time. However, our technology isn't just a value for our Argos sonar customers. Whale observations from our user's systems will soon be shared anonymously with our cloud services which will then forward these observations to the organziations who work to track populations, analyze data, process statistical models, and then disseminate information back to the overall maritime community. (We're already applying this same model to crowdsourcing depth observations and enabling our customer to contribute to Seabed 2030) This comprehensive, industry wide solution will require the cooperation and coordination across a wide swath of technologies, companies, scientists, and governmental organizations. That's why we're working with the likes of the National Marine Electronics Association, the WAVS Taskforce, and others to help make this a reality. You can learn more about how FarSounder products can help protect whales today and some of the initiatives we're working on for the near future on our website: www.farsounder.com/whales #safeNavigation #cruiseships #yachting #oceanTechnology

#shipstrike is one of the leading causes of death for great whales. If you've ever had the opportunity to spend time around these amazing creatures, I'm sure you'll be amazed at their grace. Unfortunately, they are really hard for ships and boats to easily spot them. They need our help to safely avoid getting hit by ships and boats. Fortunately, FarSounder's Argos 3D Forward Looking Sonar's are a great tool for detecting whales. Thanks to OnboardOnline for highlighting our products and how they can play a role in preventing whale shipstrike. #savethewhales

3D Geo Radar (Zerstörungsfreie Sparten Ortung) + Ingenieur Büro Daeges (Freiraum-, Verkehr-, Infrastrukturplanung, Glasfaserausbau und vieles mehr)
Top Tool
I'm interested in new imaging technology and how it can be applied to different industries to help grow businesses and innovate processes.
According to former biosecurity minister Damien O’Connor "Analysis showed that left unchecked, wildings (Pines) would cost the economy $5.3 billion." Wilding Pines are also a threat to waterways, biodiversity and wildlife in Aotearoa , New Zealand. This is a 3d map of a block of land being planted with Manuka trees for honey production. Surrounding the Manuka block are commercial pine plantations that spread seeds that compete with the native vegetation. In this example I used a line mark to manually isolate the coordinates of the pine trees. For larger areas, more sophisticated means of automating the marking of pines are possible. (With maps produced at a higher resolution than this one) Doing large scale drone mapping of remote areas prior to on ground management could be used to plan efficient eradication measures and provide accurate costing before the work is undertaken. In the future eradication operations could be managed entirely by UAVS (if not already happening). I imagine this could bring costs down and allow labour to be allocated other conservation tasks. #wildingpine #dronemapping #conservation #pix4d #photogrammetry
