Mining Day at the Marina is gearing up for a beautiful day! Come on down to the Women in Mining booth for some delicious food and WIM swag. All proceeds goes to the Women in Mining Scholarships.
I am so proud and excited for this new chapter. You rock @women in mining, black hills! And I LOVE your logo!
New chapters are so important in making a real impact and bring change to local communities, the mining industry, and our society. They are right there to advance Women in Mining USA commitments of:
1) EDUCATION: We educate to change misconceptions of the extractive industries.
2) ADVOCACY: We advocate for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive industry.
3) EMPOWERMENT: We empower members through professional development and networking.
4) INSPIRATION: We inspire future generations of mining professionals.
In case you were not aware… WIM is an inclusive organization, you don’t need to be female to help andvance the commitments. Everyone with passion is WELCOME!
As I prepare for today’s panel discussion, I’m reflecting on the role of strategic foresight and future thinking. It’s not about predicting the future, but about being ready with the right tools and strategies to adapt to changes. In today’s mining industry, this forward-thinking approach is more important than ever.
If you’re attending Electra Mining Africa and want to explore the role of foresight and future thinking, feel free to reach out.

Very interesting research on occupation health and employment concerns for women in the mining industry. Many of these factors, including maternity leave and childcare benefits, greatly affect women involvement in the industry. It's great to see research and developments made to diversify and improve access for women and families in these areas.
