This is a prayer for Tu Bishvat: Let it Be! Tomorrow is Tu Bishvat in Israel.  It is also called Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot (ראש השנה לאילנות‎), literally "New Year of the Trees". In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration. In the immigration era before the establishment of the Israeli state, Tu Bishvat was celebrated as a symbol of the nation's awakening for the revival of settlement in Israel. In Zionist culture, Tu Bishvat became associated with planting trees during this period, which became the holiday's primary symbol. Since then, many in Israeli society have tended to mark Tu B'Shevat as a kind of nature holiday and often deal with it in terms of environmental quality. My writing used to be so often focused on the environment - I wish I had addressed it more now - but unfortunately, while we are experiencing this ongoing war, many things need to get restored first. When our country is bleeding so much these days, this holiday has a lot of symbolism. Hopefully, just like the holiday, we will be able to engage from now on in rebuilding this country. This will allow us to fix a variety of things that have been harmed. I pray first and foremost for the quick return of the unfortunate citizens and soldiers who are captives of #hamasisisis. Our remaining faith in the country and its people will also return a bit, and from here it will be much easier to recover. We will strive to work together to build something new and pure, with true brotherhood, revival, and hope that Israel can once again become prosperous and great. It's the least we deserve, as a people and as individuals. I'm not an arthodocs, but I believe in what people can do. Western media and Indian lefty personalities aren’t done with condemning India’s historic Ram temple inauguration on Jan 22nd! Setting the record right in these topics is crucial. Hindus suffered brutal invasions and colonization by Islamic & European faiths & nations for about 800 years. We were subject to enslavement, forced conversions, Spanish Inquisition, religious persecution via unfair taxes/property appropriations, genocides, famines, ethnic cleansing in India. Abroad, Hindu & Indian indentured laborers faced similar fate including expulsion from countries like Uganda! Most egregious of all atrocities were the determined and purposeful destruction of Hindu temples by Islamic rulers who then built mosques on top leaving temple remnants as reminder to Hindus of who was the master! The Ayodhya Ram temple site is revered by Hindus and it’s been a 500 year yearning to see the divine presence reinstated to its rightful home. The old, disused & dilapidated Babri mosque was replaced with a beautiful temple. All done via a Supreme Court verdict based on historical, archeological, and scriptural evidence of a temple beneath the mosque. Muslims got 5 acres of land & money (40% from Hindus) and a mosque is being constructed as the largest in Asia and biggest Quran! All fair and just, one would think, but media is unhappy. Same media says nothing about Greece converting Ottoman mosques to churches or Turkey/Azerbaijan converting churches to mosques. Why is there such animosity to an indigenous/native faith reclaiming its rightful heritage?
