Very important. Sometimes we let best people leave. Tye best people are identified in terms of their competency, their expertise and their experience. The passion and commitment they have towatds the organisation is often forgotten. But all these are not easily irreplaceable. it could take months and more than 2 persons to cover and replace what the current employee does. Lets not also forget the challenges we have in hiring people with good attitudes. So let's not wait until it's too late to retain the good employees, by asking the right questions.
