Imperfection sensitivity analysis results for the buckling of a spherical shell with initial eigenmode imperfections. All cases were examined independently and as a linear superposition. The collapse mode in all cases was Axisymmetric-Antisymmetric with respect to the shell's equator. Interestingly for imperfection amplitude over 0.5-0.6 the buckling pressure is increasing for most cases, making the design with consideration of eigenmode imperfections much more realistic, for very small imperfections

Optical bonding refers to a protective glass that is glued in front of a display to enhance its readability where installed in high humidity outdoor environments. When a normal display is used in an outdoor environment, there are some factors that affect its readability. The most common one is “fog”, or condensation, which forms on the inner surface of display's vandal shield. Another factor is the reflection of sunlight, which causes a mirror-image on the display. Both phenomena can be solved by using optical bonding.

How does stall happen in a fan? It happens when the air flow pattern can no longer follow the blade surface especially if the blade is long and slender. For a certain flow rate, there is a maximum angle of attack , beyond which the air flow will not follow pattern of the blade. As flow rate in inlet decreases, the maximum permissible angle of attack also decreases. When permissible angle of attack is smaller than the fan actual angle of attack, the fan will experience stall. Worse still some stalls are rotating, ie it moves from cell to cell as depicted below.
