Below are just a handful of the issues that we'll be discussing at #RomeAI2024 kicking off next month.

Are humanoids the next era in workforce innovation or massive job disruption? Well for many industries this may (or will) be the case. The pace of innovation is accelerating at a rapid pace. Check out this video from Chinese firm Astribot of their Humanoid bit called S1. Its movements are pretty smooth and precise. We are already seeing robot bartenders on cruise ships, cafe kitchens with robots cooking the meals and we know that robot automation has been present in manufacturing for many years. As crazy as it sounds I would imagine we will see humanoids start to form part of a workforce. You can imagine seeing them on construction worksites, in hospitals, surgeries, in mines, public transport, restaurants, sports training (anyone for a tennis with your local robot!)… and then we have the armed forces, firefighting and police force (Robocop time!!). What industries do you think will be impacted and why? While one part of me is worried about what it means for people’s livelihood’s and what it could mean for society more generally… it also opens up a huge amount of productivity, welfare and service consistency opportunities. For me… similar to how AI Assistants/copilots are being used I think humanoids will augment humanity and add great value within the workforce! #humanoid #futureworkforce #ai #robotics #augmentedworld
