A new report concludes what we already know: charter schools deliver more bang for the buck than district schools. Did you know that in NYC– public charters receive significantly less funding than district schools? Imagine what public charters could do if they received equal funding. https://bit.ly/49PPLXo
Charter schools are not required and do not take accept ALL learners and get rid of students that have needs that require additional supports. They also do not follow Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
#1 feature/benefit of any chartered or public edu alternative is instructor-to-learner ratio. This quotient is the primary predictor of student achievement. Anything else is a shadow factor.
These results are similar to the ROI impact we see in the WI school choice program. The common factor is that unbundling public funding to empower families to choose the best educational option for their own children works. We need to trust parents!
Well done 👏
All kids deserve to be where they can thrive. The public schools CANNOT be all things to all students. Period.
