We excited to share our newest publication "Quantifying the intensity of high-frequency mechanical impact treatment" of the Fraunhofer IWM, Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), the Nagoya University 名古屋大学 and the SLV Duisburg. https://lnkd.in/eW-m-7cJ Since we are working with High Frequency Mechanical Impact (HFMI) treatment, we are facing the question: Which process parameters (for example travel speed) are needed to reach optimum results (the highest compressive residual stresses and highest fatigue life improvement)? With this work we try to contribute to this question in a simple way.
