This innovative robot promises to streamline production processes by integrating the removal of the casting system and deburring of metal pieces into a single, efficient cycle. 💪 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 Traditionally, the removal of the casting system and subsequent deburring of pieces were performed as separate, manual operations. Particularly in the case of simo-alloys or niresist materials. These higher alloy grades necessitate a significant number of larger risers to ensure proper feeding of pieces during the solidification process. The manual removal of this compact and complex casting system was labor-intensive, requiring operators to use large grinding disks, as hydraulic wedges cannot be used as these risks breaking or deforming the parts. 🔧 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: OMCO Metals' newly introduced robot is a game-changer in addressing these challenges. Its primary function is to automate the removal of the casting system while simultaneously deburring the pieces. By consolidating these two distinct steps into a single cycle, the robot significantly enhances efficiency and productivity in the foundry. 𝙆𝙚𝙮 𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨: ✅ Automated Casting System Removal: The robot employs advanced automation technology to eliminate the casting system without manual intervention. This improves workplace ergonomics and enhances precision in the fettling process. ✅ Simultaneous Deburring Functionality: An outstanding feature of the robot is its ability to perform deburring immediately after removing the casting system. This eliminates the need for a separate deburring step, resulting in time and resource savings. ✅ Versatility Across Materials: The robot demonstrates exceptional adaptability, effortlessly handling challenging materials like simo-alloys, niresist as well as aluminumbronze.
