In the end, by your instrument is launched into space and works 500 kilometers above the ground. And that that's a great feeling that you could contribute to all these. My name is Mihai Makowski, I am currently studying space engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and I have a part time job at the Budapest based space engineering company called Ramraj. There I am working as a honeycomb simulation engineer. For quite a long time I couldn't decide whether to become a scientist and do research or an engineer and do more engineering related tasks and I think that. Space industry mixes these to the technology is cutting edge, every project is unique, so you are also kind of a researcher while doing engineering work. I'm working at Rembrandt, which is based in Hungary in Budapest and the companies working on space dosimetry instruments, mainly instruments which can forecast the space weather, radiation sensors and magnetometer sensors, electronic boxes. So all instruments and and all hardware which supports the measurements of radiation in this space and the space weather forecasting. I'm a simulation engineer at the company, so I get 3D models of space instruments from the other Mechanical Engineers and my task is to analyze these structure, calculate the response on excitations and tell the Mechanical Engineers that they're structure will fail or whether it will be able to cope with the stresses which will occur during its lifetime. The new space age, this is not true anymore. So wherever you live, whether in a small, smaller or greater country, you can find the place where you can work in the space industry. Because nowadays also smaller companies can contribute. You can for sure find an opportunity near your place of living where you can work in this space industry. At the university lectures, I often heard of Hungarian space instruments or space project which are currently going on. And when I joined this company remembered I could immediately work on these projects which I could only hear about during the lectures at the university. And this was a great feeling that the information I got from the university is something which I can really work on and and contribute myself. If you want to start working on space project from your first day on then you could join this company where where this is possible.

6 days ago, I celebrated my 25th birthday(Quarter Century). This milestone gave me the opportunity to reflect on the years behind me and reconsider my plans for the future. Over the past years, I’ve embraced every moment as a learning experience. Every challenge and achievement has provided me with valuable lessons, both personally and professionally. Throughout my education and career, I’ve remained focused on continuous growth, learning, and improvement. My academic journey has solidified my passion for space technologies and engineering. I aim to further develop my skills, gain new experiences, and become the best in my field. Now, as I enter this new chapter, I am more motivated than ever to excel and move forward with confidence. As I look to the future, I’ve set a few key goals that I am determined to achieve: • Secure internships at leading space technology companies, allowing me to gain hands-on experience and learn the best practices in the industry. • Successfully complete my studies, deepening my academic knowledge and specializing in my field. • Adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle, with a focus on regular exercise and a balanced routine. • Explore new career opportunities and expand my professional network to gain further experience in the workforce. • Spend more time on artistic activities and to undertake new projects in the field of songwriting and music.
