Last four days were so eventful for me and our community building initiative #NFAPostStartupSafari. As part of StartupSafari, we decided to attend Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet-2024 and the 10th edition of World Tamil Economic Summit 2024 at Chennai. Our plan to visit Sri City and Sriharikotta were cancelled due to heavy load of work at Chennai; we attended panel discussion organised as part of the event which were attended by panelists of eminence. It was also a rewarding moment in life. Also, attended exhibition stalls of amazing companies, country pavilions and other organisations. But here I would like to pinpoint the broadmindedness of World Tamil Economic Summit organisers who diligently discussed issues affecting the states but having a pan-India magnitude and global ramifications, via business and technology. Tamil Nadu government led by Chief Minister M K Stalil has set an ambitious target of achieving $1 trillion economy status even though its GDP ranking among Indian states skid to third position as Uttar Pradesh captured the second position. Having achieved the status of 3rd largest FDI attracting state in the country and possess an envious 2nd position along with Himachal Pradesh in Sustainable Development Goals Index 2020-21 (SDG India Index) published by NITI Aayog. The buoyancy in Tamil Nadu economy is strengthened by its envious position as Detroit of India and largest electronics manufacturing destination. The 10th largest Indian state by area and sixth largest by population, the southernmost state of India is also known for its more than 5,500 years of continuous cultural history.
