FCL Components Releases the Market’s Smallest, Low Power 40A, High-Temperature Automotive Relay The FBR53-LE, a PCB-mounted relay, is more than 2 mm lower in height than others in its class, it helps to enable more compact designs. The FBR53-LE is a 1 Form U (Form A with twin contacts) relay that measures 15.7(L) x 12.3(W) x 14(H) mm, with a volume of 2,704 mm3. Its maximum carrying current is 54A for 1 hour, and its maximum inrush current is 200A. It has a contact rating of 14VDC, 40A, and a nominal coil power of 640mW. Its operating temperature ranges from -40degC to +125degC degrees, making it an ideal fit for engine compartments. Reducing the power consumption of the coil (W = V x I = V2 / R) compared to the FBR53-HW enables heat generation to be suppressed. 🔗 The Voith e-coupler: #GetConnected to risk-free coupling at up to 12 km/h! Does the CargoFlex also allow coupling with other systems like passenger train or adapter couplers? The different types of mechanical coupler heads are highly standardized. This does not apply to the #ecoupler. Depending on train application and requirements, there is a wide variation of sizes, numbers and types of contacts, even the positioning on the mechanical head. If – as an example – a passenger train needs towing, the two coupler heads can couple mechanically. The e-couplers, however, cannot, due to their different design. The CargoFlex uses a simple, but effective mechanism allowing to prevent the forward movement of the e-coupler. This way, the coupler heads connect, but the e-coupler remains retracted with the lid safely closed. #FP5 #DAC #CargoFlex
