Inclusion is a journey, and over the past two years, Keystone Human Services has been exploring how Inclusion International’s Listen Include Respect global guidelines can impact an organization that provides direct support. During the June Summit on June 18, 2024, we highlighted some of the work that has been done across Keystone recently along with our partners from Inclusion International Jordan – ibaa khalil, Project Manager; new adopters of the Listen Include Respect guidelines Tukena Foundation in Finland (formerly KVPS)- Kirsi Konola, CEO and Petra Rantamäki, Development Director; and Inclusion Advisors Joe Robbie and Catherine Watson from the Down's Syndrome Association. Tia Nelis, #ListenIncludeRespect Consultant with Inclusion International, introduced the creation of Inclusion International’s World Congress being held in September 2025 in which Listen Include Respect advocates can experience peer-to-peer support, share ideas, and learn from one another. “My vision is that we will continue to innovate our services and evolve so we can continue to meet people’s wants and not just their needs,” said Charles Sweeder, President and CEO of KHS. “We value each person’s humanity and how they would like their life or services to look, including what they want, their opinions, and feedback, which drives their plan,” said Janae Yoder, Behavioral Health Specialist. Capital Area Head Start, which serves families who speak 29 different languages and come from 30 different countries, works to promote diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environments in all its centers for children, families, and staff. “Early education environments that actively promote diversity and inclusion are the fertile grounds where young minds learn to appreciate the rich mosaic of humanity,” said Kayle Richardson, Director of Employee and Program Development for Capital Area Head Start. “To continue to move forward, it takes all of us,” said Courtney Soto, the new Engagement Manager working with people accepting services and leadership to develop and implement comprehensive inclusion strategies aligned with our mission and values. Speakers: · Genevieve Fitzgibbon, President and CEO, Keystone Human Services International · Leah Klish, Director of Operations Education · Tia Nelis, Self-Advocate Consultant for Listen Include Respect, Self-Advocate Engagement Coordinator for TASH · Courtney Soto, Engagement Manager · Kayle Richardson, Employee and Program Development, CAHS · Charles Sweeder, President and CEO, KHS · Kaila Wells, Director of Human Resources Education and Development · Janae Yoder, Behavioral Health Specialist, Autism Services · Kirsi Konola, CEO of Tukena Foundation, Finland · Petra Rantamäki, Development Director of Tukena Foundation, Finland · Joe Robbie, Inclusion Advisor, Down's Syndrome Association · Catherine Watson, Inclusion Advisor, Down's Syndrome Association · ibaa khalil, Project Manager, Inclusion International Jordan

Finally a good news story about a large-scale inclusive event! We hear from Chloe Hayden that the Taylor Swift concert that they attended GENUINELY felt inclusive. Hooray 📣 Yes, Inclusion can require intentional planning, BUT... it also gets to feel fun! 'Inclusive' doesn't just mean, being allowed in the door. It means once you're inside: feeling safe, the ability to be yourself in the space, options for how you participate, the ability to leave the space, and equity in terms of access (in other words: what I need and what you need to access the experience, might be different, and that's okay). 🐣 Not fully across inclusive event planning? That's okay! We are running a 2-hour public training on Inclusive Event Planning next month in our Perth CBD training venue. ✴ Book here: https://lnkd.in/gfME9dSb Come and learn the essentials for large and small-scale event planning that make for events that are accessible and enjoyable, for all kinds of folks 💫 Delivered with our signature down-to-earth and practical approach at Inclusion Solutions ✅ #inclusion #inclusiveevents #advocate #disabilityinclusion #disabilityawareness #inclusionmatters #supportivecommunity #eventsmanagement #professionaldevelopment

As part of the work of Equip To Thrive, I get to work with National Panhellenic Conference member organizations on a local chapter and inter/national level. For many of these groups, I have had the opportunity to serve as a facilitator for their internally designed curriculum. This is about giving voice to and creating space for mission-driven and values-based conversations. An adept facilitator will make the pages come to life and it's one of my absolute favorite ways to serve others. Looking forward to serving as a facilitator for Tri Delta's inaugural Growth Summit this weekend. Sororities, much like workplaces, must engage in intentional growth. Both are or should be mission- driven, people-based, and people-focused (employees and members), requiring strategic efforts to thrive. At the summit, we'll delve into marketing, public relations, philanthropy, DEIAB, membership selection, and engaging current members in the growth process. We'll explore current trends within the college student demographic and discuss implications for attracting and retaining members. This conversation parallels many concepts applicable to the workplace. Recruiting talent (new members), increasing employee engagement (engagement of members), and enhancing culture are essential for both sororities and businesses. Both must engage internal and external stakeholders to maintain relevance and foster growth. Thank you to Tri Delta for having me! #equiptothrive #facilitation #sorority #panhellenic #recruitment #college #university
