Surbhi Jain ! One sister amongst 7 brothers. Raised just like all the sons !! She did IITBOMBAY ! Even the "barat" or as they say in Bengali - BOR JATRI translated to groom entourage - was done like a boy ! She got to use the power symbol of a horse to ride ( storm!) the grooms house ! What parenting ! MY COMMENT INSIDE ↙️ " #behavioralgenetics #behavioralanthropology #evolutionarypsychology #biologicalpsychology What #genetics, #anthropolology, #biology and #psychology ! I need a little droplet from your #behavioralneurology ! Maybe 100 years from now- we could transpose such talent from one person to another using #neuromorphicengineering ! #neuromorphology #neuroromorphogenesis !

“𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡; 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫.” Indian weddings often become grand displays, a game of signaling one's status. There's a pressure to put on a lavish show. To be honest, I didn't want my wedding to be extravagant, but my parents had big dreams for it. Growing up, I was the only girl among seven brothers, and I was treated just like them in every possible way. We received the same punishments, shared household chores, and even played with the same toys and wore the same clothes (whenever we didn't protest)😅. When it came to my wedding, my parents insisted it be the same as it was for my brothers. You can see me in the picture where we even had a baraat ceremony. They really wanted to do this to signal that 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬.
