Energy Resilience Leadership Group’s Post

The Energy Resilience Leadership Group echoes the words of Christian Bruch who attended the ONS in Oslo. Christian applauds the ongoing efforts of governments, energy suppliers and climate innovators in navigating the path towards a sustainable future. These efforts, through incentives and funding for critical projects, are vital to the transition to sustainable energy.    #CleanTech #EnergyResilience #ONS50 #RenewableEnergy

I’m currently at the 50th Offshore Northern Seas Conference here in Norway – an important platform for connecting the energy industry, government, and society. These are the points that have stuck out for me over the last two days: ➡️ Geopolitical dynamics continue to shape the energy landscape and therefore also the discussions here at ONS. This year’s conference is themed “Imagine”, emphasizing the importance of security and scalability besides the sustainability, affordability and availability aspect in the energy industry. ➡️ Cooperation remains essential. We are forefronting this with our Energy Resilience Leadership Group forming a "coalition of the willing" from politics, industry, and finance. Policymakers must provide clear incentives and guarantees to scale future technologies. ➡️ Norway plays a crucial role in the energy transition. Following the attack on Ukraine, Norway promptly increased its gas supply to Europe by 10% in 2022, showcasing Norway’s international connectivity and pragmatic, goal-oriented solutions. It was a privilege to host H.E. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway at our booth and showcase our Siemens Energy solutions available now to advance the energy transition. Many thanks to our Team Purple for coordinating everything here at ONS. Special congratulations to Siemens Gamesa and Jonas Pagh Jensen for winning the ONS Innovation Award today. Our team has developed a way of recycling wind turbine blades after their lifecycle to be used in new applications  – a first in the industry and a major step towards achieving 100% recyclability of our wind turbines. #ONS50 #energytransition #offshore
