OSHA's proposed rule has been extended for the second time. Please look into it and understand the implications this proposed rule and short compliance timeline will have for your fire, police, or ambulance services. All entities of public safety are affected by this proposed new rule. There is nothing wrong with making a dangerous job safer and I support that, but it needs to be realistic and have a timeline that allows all to work toward the common goal of responder safety. Isn't it frustrating when you think (no, you know, or as close to knowing as possible) that you are right but OSHA just won't listen - or get your argument? This happens all.the.time. You get cited and you disagree. You tell OSHA why. OSHA seems like it is not listening. Know this, yes, OSHA is listening. But, if that listening does not translate into action in your favor, there is a quite simple remedy. You go to Court and you have the judge decide everything! Why have someone, or an entity, decide such a critical matter for you when they are adverse to you? Have a judge do it. Never feel victimized - never feel like you have no options. No, march into trial and try the case. There, you will be heard! #OSHA #safety

What are your thoughts on OSHA? … An incident occurred last week. An employee was hospitalized with an injury to his leg after getting ran over by his own truck.😬 The Austin, TX OSHA office reached out for details on the incident after we reported the accident online. (Reporting any hospitalizations of more than 24 hours to OSHA is a law that we must follow.) So we sent a full report of what happened, and the OSHA worker called us and said: “We know who STC is, and we know ya'll have things in place. We will close this report ASAP.” OSHA’s aim isn’t to get businesses in trouble. They exist simply to keep people safe. Let’s change safety cultures together. 🤞 #OSHA #SafetyCulture #STCSafety
